Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) an autonomous and private university offers courses in various streams for admissions.

UG courses like MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm are offered in different affiliate colleges of MAHE. Admissions to these programs are entrance based followed by counselling for seat allotment.

For MBBS and BDS admissions students are required to qualify for NEET UG and should have passed 10+2 with PCB/PCM. Seat allotment and counselling is through DHSC or MCC. Admission applications are accepted through the MCC website.

MBBS is offered by Kasturba Medical College (KMC) and BDS is offered through Manipal College for Dental Sciences (MCODS).

To be eligible for B.Pharm admissions, students must qualify for MET entrance exam. Students are also required to have passed 10+2 with PCB/PCM with English as a compulsory subject. Counselling is through Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Date of Birth should fall on or before December 31, 2002. 
  • Pass in 10+2 /A level / IB / American High School Diploma or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English from a recognized Board, with a minimum of 50% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology

MBBS & BDS Admission Process

Selection Criteria

  • Admission selections are based on scores in NEET UG entrance examination.
  • Also, on the basis of scores obtained in the previous qualifying examination.
  • Final selection based upon counselling followed by allotment of seats for admission.

Application Process

Students can follow the given steps for application submission at MCODS 

Step 1- Registration & Choice Filling: 

  • Candidates can log on to https://mcc.nic.in to complete the registration process and fill in the choice of course.   

Step 2- Online counseling & Seat Allotment: 

  • This is taken care of by DGHS / MCC based on entrance scores and scores in the previous examination.  

Step 3- Reporting to the Institute: 

  • After the merit list is released, students can go to their respective institutions to complete the necessary admission formalities.

NEET Exam

This exam is conducted by NTA for those students who wish to get admission in medical programs. 

  • The exam is conducted offline or pen and paper mode.
  • Questions are multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) where one out of four options is correct.
  • NEET exam is 3 hours long and carries questions in:
    • Physics: 45 questions
    • Chemistry: 45 questions
    • Biology: 90 questions (Zoology: 45 questions; Botany: 45 questions)
  • Each question carries 4 marks for each correct answer.
  • 1 mark is deducted per wrong answer. But no mark is deducted for unattempted questions.

Note: B.Pharm (lateral entry) students should have passed in Diploma (Pharmacy) from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) 

Selection Criteria

  • Admission selections are based on scores in MET.
  • After qualifying MET students would be shortlisted for counselling at MCOPS.

Admission Process

The application form can be filled online by following the given steps:

  • Visit the website of the Institute and click on “Apply Now” tab.
  • Register yourself by providing your Personal details, and Academic information.
  • Candidates are required to pay INR 600 as application fee and INR 1400 as entrance fees (for a few selected courses) through Net Banking/ Credit/ Debit Card.
  • Submit the application form.
