Manipal University (MU) MBBS, BDS and B.Pharm Admissions 2019: Courses, Application form, Entrance Exam, Fees

Manipal University is a deemed university located in Manipal, Karnataka, India. The university has its branch campuses in many parts of the country (Bangalore, Mangalore, Sikkim, Jaipur) and abroad (Dubai, Malaysia and Antigua). It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Manipal University and offers around 104 courses. The university offers admission to the following UG courses:

  1. MBBS
  2. BDS
  3. B. Pharm.

Only candidates with relevant qualifying degree can register for the above mentioned programmes. Seats are reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC etc. Check Manipal University Admission 2019

Candidates can register for admission by filling-in the online application form and submitting the required processing fee, on or before 8 May, 2019 (tentative). Admission to the graduate programmes is based on the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying degree examination and Entrance examination score.

Eligibility criteria

  • Candidate should have completed 17 years of age before applying for the admission
  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects.


Application Process

BDS , B.Pharm & MBBS

Candidates must apply for admission through online registration process and submit completed application before 8 May, 2019 (tentative). All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information.

Candidate should log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

  1. In the “Admissions” section, click on “Online Application” Link
  2. Click on “Apply Now” button and fill in the application form
  3. Click on “Save” button if you need to make any changes or click on “Submit” button if all the particulars are correct
  4. Upon clicking “Submit” button, pay the registration fee through the available online payment modes
  5. Upon successful submission, the candidate will receive a confirmation mail along with your Login ID and Application Number
  6. Candidate must download the completed applications for subsequent use
  7. After complete submission of the application form, application status can be tracked to know whether the form has been submitted online or received offline.
  8. Download the Manipal University Admit Card 2019 from “MUOET 2019 Slot booking”.
  9. Download and print the hall ticket and appear in the entrance test on scheduled date at assigned test centre.
  10. Preserve the application number/ID, password and admit card for later use.

Selection Process

BDS , B.Pharm & MBBS

Admission to various courses is done on the basis of rank achieved in All India Manipal University Online University Test (MU-OET).

For foreign/NRI category admission is done on the basis of qualifying degree merit and first come-first serve basis


15% of seats are reserved for international students under foreign/NRI category.



Many scholarships and free ships are offered for various meritorious and deserving candidates enrolled in the above programs.


Two scholarships of Rs. 30,000 each for Medical/Dental science and engineering science is given for the final year students who are good in both academics and sports.


10% tuition fee waiver for admission to all courses of Manipal University for Konkani Speaking students only.


Candidates admitted to MBBS course from rank 101 to 500 and from rank 101 to 1000 B.D.S & B. Pharm. course of the respective merit list in the MU-OET are eligible for merit-cum-means scholarship. Scholarship amount shall be determined based on the annual income of parents (from all sources) as mentioned below:
