MAHE MET 2021: Application process for MAHE MET Phase 2 has started. The last date to apply is May 25, while the last date to register for MAHE MET Phase 1 is April 12, 2021. MET Phase 1 2021 Exam will be held from April 16 to April 20, 2021. Check Here

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Manipal University, Karnataka offers 16 specializations in the field of engineering at the undergraduate (UG) level. Admission to B. Tech programs is through the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Online Entrance Test (MET) followed by a counseling session. Check MAHE Manipal University

To register the candidates must submit INR. 600 as application fees along with the entrance test fee INR.1400. The fees can be submitted online via Debit/Credit card or Net banking.

The counseling will be conducted according to the order of ranking in the merit list.

Eligibility criteria and Duration for B.Tech programs are

  • Candidates must be Indian Nationals.
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
  • Duration: 4 years

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Lateral Entry:

  • Candidates must be Indian Nationals.
  • Candidate must possess 3 years diploma in engineering by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks and 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject.

Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2021

MET is an online entrance exam conducted by Manipal University for admission to UG courses in various disciplines and specializations. It an online exam which is held tentatively from the second week of April until the third week of May. Students who have passed 10+2 from a recognized board of education are eligible to apply for MET.

MAHE Manipal B.Tech Selection Process 2021

Admission will be based on merit in the Manipal Entrance Test. (MET). The university will prepare a merit list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the MET. The list will follow the order of ranking secured by the candidate. Candidates will be called for counseling as per their names on the merit list.

The selected candidates must carry the following documents at the time of admission:

  • MET hall ticket
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheet
  • Identity Proof (Aadhar/PAN card)
  • Passport size photographs

The candidates must pay the first installment of the total fees.

MAHE Manipal Application Process 2021

For admission, the candidates must apply for the Entrance test conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).

The candidates can apply for admission through the official website- apply.manipal.edu/mu.

  • To register, the candidates must first create their Log-in credentials.
  • Select the category.
  • Proceed to fill up the personal details.
  • Followed by the educational qualifications.
  • Upload the photograph and the signature.
  • Select the course and the test center.
  • Verify the details.
  • Submit the application form along with the fees.

The fees can be paid through debit/credit card or net banking. The candidates must upload the necessary documents, the university will verify the validity of the same and notify the candidates accordingly. The Hall Ticket can be downloaded from the university’s official website. The hard-copy of the hall ticket must be produced at the time of the test and counseling.

Note: 15% of seats are reserved for international students under FN/NRI category.

Ans. PES and MAHE are in Bangalore providing stiff competition to each other in terms of placement, academics, research. According to NIRF Universities ranking 2020, MAHE stands at 8th position and PES between the rank-band 101-150. The average placement rate is 75% in all its branches for both the colleges. Computer science and engineering is the fastest-growing field as compared to other branches of Engineering. That’s why students opting software fields as their career looks for a good college for their better future. Admission: For admission into BTech courses at PES University, students need to appear for the KCET exam. The application fee is INR 1050. Eligibility is 10+2 with 0% aggregate in the science stream. For admission into the BTech CSE course at MAHE, students need to appear for the MET exam. The application fee is INR 600 for all courses and 1400 for selected courses. Eligibility is 10+2 with 50% aggregate in the science stream. Faculty: PES has 30 professors, apart from the associate professor, Head of departments, and most of them are Ph.D. holders in their respective fields. MAHE has 8 assistant professors, associate professors, most of them are Ph.D. holders and alumni of IITs, NITs, and other international universities. Faculties help students in the field of research and development and help them to publish their papers. Ans. Both PDPU and Manipal University are nationally recognized institutions and provide excellent quality education. The total tuition fee for the ICT branch at PDPU is around 9.36 lakhs and has about 120 seats. The total tuition fee for the IT branch at Manipal University is around 17.06 lakhs and has a capacity of 120 seats as well. Eligibility Criteria: PDPU: Students who have secured 45% or above in their 10+2 examination are eligible to apply. JEE Main and GUJCET scores are considered for admission. Manipal University: Students are expected to score 50% or above in their 10+2 examination. Admission is made based on the MET examination, which is the university examination. The cutoff rank at Manipal- 1932(Round1), 1985(Round 2). Placements: PDPU: The ICT department of PDPU is extremely new and had its first placement in 2020. The highest package offered was 20 LPA, the lowest offered was 5LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys and ONGC. Mostly the positions offered were of assistant engineers. Students are responsible for securing internships. Manipal University: The IT department has a placement percentage of 80. The highest salary package offered is 21 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is around 6 LPA. Around 40% of students secured internships. The faculty of ICT is average since the branch is still relatively new. The campus size of PDPU is around 100 acres, and all the basic requirements of students are taken care of. Manipal University: Faculties are top-tier, and the teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum is relevant and updated. Manipal too has all the necessary facilities like Wi-Fi all over campus, air-conditioned classrooms, and an updated library with over 10,000 books, and canteen and medical facilities. Manipal University is one of the largest colleges in India. The campus stretches over 313 acres almost a quarter of which is devoted to sports. Both colleges are really good, and even though the ICT branch at PDPU is very new compared to the IT branch at Manipal, the first placement was entirely up to the mark.
