North Maharashtra University (NMU) MBA and MCA Admissions 2020: Courses, Application Process, Result

North Maharashtra University (NMU) established in 1990 is located in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. It has been awarded 'A' Grade by NAAC. There are 220 affiliated colleges and 4 University recognized Research Institutes/Centres under the jurisdiction of University. Out of these, 1 college is recognized as College of Excellence5 colleges have been identified as College with Potential for Excellence.

NMU has been awarded 1st position in Maharashtra State and 40th position among 620 universities in India by the India Today survey of 2013. The University has successfully adopted the ‘School Concept’ with academic flexibility for the optimal use of infrastructure and resources. There are 13 Schools and 01 Institute imparting education in various undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. Programmes.

The university invites applications for the admission to MBA Programme and MCA Programme for the academic year. The MBA programme is offered at School of Management for a duration of 2 years with 60 seats. The admission will be based on MAH-MBA/MMS-CET. The MCA Programme is offered at the School of Computer Science and is for a duration of 3 years with 60 seats. The admission to this will be based on MAH-MCA -CET. Check NMU Admission

How to apply?

You are required to apply online for MBA Programme and on a different link for MCA Programme, where you should click on the option "APPLY ONLINE" which will open a new screen. 

To register application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.

You should then carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application.

Upload the photograph and signature in JPG or JPEG format. The photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture against a light-coloured, preferably white, background. The size of file should be between 20kb to 50 kb with 200 x 230 pixels (preferably) and 4.5cm × 3.5cm dimensions. The scanned signature should be on white paper with Black Ink pen. The size of file should be between 10kb to 20 kb with 140 x 60 pixel (preferably)

Application Fee: You should pay the Application Fee mentioned below by using Debit Cards (RuPay /Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. You should also take a printout of the e-Receipt.

Once you have verified all the details, then click the “Final Submission” button. The registration process is now complete.

Eligibility Criteria

You should have passed in any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration awarded by any of the recognised Universities with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA for general category and 45% marks in case backward class categories and Persons With Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only. You are eligible if you are appearing for the final year examination for the same.

Note: If you have appeared for MAH-MBA / MMS-CET  /CAT / GMAT / CMAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA, you are considered to be eligible for admission against the All India Seats subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

Reservation Criteria

Reservation will be for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJDT NT (A), NT (B), NT (C), NT (D), OBC, SBC] & Persons with Disability candidates.

Selection Process

You will be selected on the basis of MAH-MBA/MMS-CET which shall be conducted only in the online mode in multiple sessions.

The test will comprise of multiple choice objective type questions with Five Options with a total of 200 marks. There is one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking system for this test. The duration of the test is 2 and a half hours. The topics include Logical Reasoning (75 questions), Abstract Reasoning (25 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions) and Verbal Ability / Reading Comprehension (50 questions).
