There are various courses provided by the Shivaji University in different specialisations which requires bachelor’s degree in the same field. MCA, MSW and M.Sc. programmes provided by the University has a duration of 2 years for which application forms are available in the month of April and has entrance test on different dates for MCA and M.Sc. respectively. Application to these programmes is to be made in online mode only and there is also a provision of late submission of form along with a late fine of INR 100and INR 500 as super late fine. Admission to MBA programme is made on the basis of MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2018 application for which is to be made online. A state level entrance test will be held for the MBA programme. Once the results are announced, candidates can file discrepancies if any to the University and after resolving that a final merit list will be released by the University which will be considered for further admission process. Centre for admission test is in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli, allotment of centre is subjected to availability. If there are less than 10 candidates in a centre then, such examination centre will be cancelled and another centre will be allotted to candidates.

Candidates are required to have graduated in any discipline with at least 50% or equivalent CGPA (45% for reserved category candidates).

Those candidates who have done graduation with at least 50% marks are eligible for the MCA programme.

Candidates are required to have passed 10+2 with at least one subject as Mathematics. Age of candidates should not be above 28 as on 30th June to be eligible for the programme.
For M.Sc. programme candidates are required to have completed B.Sc. from a recognised University in a relevant subject.

How To Apply
Candidates are required to fill the application form on website Application form is available online only. Entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200 which is to be submitted in form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
The application form along with the Demand Draft is to be submitted to the concerned department either by post/courier or by person.
Candidates can also avail the copy of course directory by paying a sum of INR 100 to the University in form of cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
NOTE: If course directory is demanded through post then a sum of INR 30 extra is to be paid by the candidates.
If candidates want to apply for more than one course, than they are required to fill different application forms.
If there are less than 10 candidates allotted to an examination centre then that centre is subjected to cancellation and information regarding this will be made available on the University website.
Applications are accepted after the last date of submission with a late fee of INR 100.
There is also a provision to accepted application form with super late fee of INR 500.
In order to apply for an MBA programme, candidates are required to apply online on http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba
Select “Apply Online” option and choose ‘Click here for New Registration’ and enter the required details. Candidates are required to save the registration number and password for further use.
Payment for application form will be made by credit card/debit card/Net banking. After the successful submission of application fee a receipt will be generated and candidates are required to take the print out of same. Application form is INR 1000 for general category and INR 800 for reserved category candidates.
Candidates are required to upload a recent photograph against white background.
Size of photograph is required to be of 20 to 50 Kb
Signature of candidates to be uploaded has to be made on a white sheet with black ink

Admissions are made on the basis of entrance test conducted by the University. The duration for the test is 90 minutes consisting 100 multiple choice questions. The total marks for the test is 100 and a merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates in the test as well as qualifying exams. For MBA and MCA programmes question paper will be of 150 marks and 90 minutes.
Centre for entrance test can be allotted in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli. Candidates can select the test centre according to their convenience and the allotment of same depends upon the availability.
Once the merit list is released by the University candidates can apply for scrutinising the result, once the discrepancies (if any) is resolved by the University then a final merit list will be released and admissions are to made on that basis only. Those candidates who have got selected are required to appear to the concerned department along with the course fee to confirm their admission.
Candidates are required to appear with a valid ID proof along with the admit card to the examination centre, failing which candidates will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
Answers in the OMR sheet is to be made by black ball point pen only.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates in the entrance test and qualifying exam. 50% weightage to both aspects will be given for preparing merit list.
For selection to MBA programme, candidates are required to appear for a state level common entrance test. Candidates can download the hall ticket for examination from http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba
MAH-MBA/MMS-CET is an online test of 200 marks and the duration for the test is 150 minutes.
NOTE: Candidates are required to appear the test centre along with the hall ticket and a valid ID proof.
Apart from the different schemes for scholarships provided by the government authorities, University has their own provision to provide scholarship to deserving candidates.
University releases about 500 scholarships of INR 5000 and INR 10000 which is given to deserving candidates enrolled with the University under the scheme of Shivaji University Merit Scholarship Scheme (SUMS).
