University of Mysore offers admission to the M.Phil programme under 5 disciplines. Admission to the course will be purely based on marks secured in the entrance examination conducted by the university.
Postgraduate degree holders with 55% marks (50% marks) secured in the qualifying examination from a recognized university will be eligible for the admission. Application form will be available online on the official website of the university (http://uni-mysore.ac.in). The application fee must be paid through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card.

Course Wise Eligibility:
|Botany||M.Sc. Botany/M.Sc. Applied Botany / M.Sc. plant Science or equivalent degree of any other University.|
|Computer Science||Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks. In case of SC/ST/Cat-I candidates it is relaxed to 50%. Or equivalent grade in cognate subject from University of Mysore or any other recognized University.|
|Christianity||Candidates with a minimum of 55% marks in M.A. in Christianity from this or any other University recognized as equivalent.|
|Kannada||Postgraduate degree in Kannada of this University or any other recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/Cat-I Candidates).|
|Economics||Master’s Degree in Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ M.B.A/ M.Com/ B.E/ M.E/ M.Tech. with a minimum of 55%(50% minimum for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates)|
