VNMKV B.Sc and B.Tech Admissions 2020: Courses, Result, Fees

Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV) is an agricultural university imparting professional agricultural education, research and training since its establishment in 1956. VNMKV has 12 constituent and 37 affiliated colleges which offer admission to the following UG degree programmes

  • B.Sc. Agriculture
  • B.Sc. Horticulture
  • B.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology
  • B.Sc. Home Science (Honours)
  • B.Tech. Food Technology
  • B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering

Only candidates with the relevant qualifications can register for the above-mentioned programmes. Seats are reserved for people who belong to different categories such as SC/ST/BC BC etc. as well as special categories viz. Differently-abled, Children of Freedom Fighter etc. Check VNMKV Admission

Eligible candidates can apply through the online application forms available on the official MCAER website and submit them upon completion with the required processing fee. Admission to the graduate programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the entrance test.

How to Apply

  • Candidate can download the prospectus and concerned application form available at the official MCAER website
  • Along with duly filled-in applications, candidates have to submit application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 in case of SC/ST/OBC) through Net Banking or DD or by Challan in state bank of India branch. DD should be drawn in favour of “Financial Advisor, MCAER, Pune” and payable at Pune
  • All category Candidates (including reserved & unreserved) from states other than Maharashtra must pay an application fee of Rs. 600/- through DD
  • Printout of a duly filled-in application along with recent passport size photograph and relevant documents must be sent to any of the Application Receipt Centres of the institution

Note: Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Agriculture Polytechnic must submit 2 forms. The marks of Agriculture Polytechnic should be attached to one copy and marks obtained in 12th standard should be enclosed with the second form.

Candidates have to submit application form along with the following self-attested documents:


  1. Mark sheet /Grade card of qualifying examination
  2. School / College (Last attended) Leaving Certificate
  3. Bonafide Certificate in case of candidate admitted by ICAR quota
  4. Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  5. Domicile Certificate / Residential Certificate
  6. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  7. 'Non-Creamy Layer Certificate' issued on or after April 01 or valid upto the date of submission of application form
  8. Certificate of ‘Project Affected Person’ issued by the District Resettlement Officer of Government of Maharashtra
  9. N.C.C. ‘B’ or ‘C’ / Air / Naval /Army wing Certificate
  10. Certificate of Games/Sports/Debate/Essay/Elocution issued by the District Sports Officer
  11. A Certificate of the Freedom Fighter of the applicant’s parents issued under the signature of the Honourable Prime Minister / Chief Minister of Maharashtra State
  12. N.S.S. Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
  13. Defence Personnel Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board
  14. ‘No-Objection Certificate’ from the Employer in case of Inservice Candidate
  15. Migrant/Displaced students from Jammu and Kashmir State should submit Certificate from the Competent Authority
  16. Certificate of Handicapped issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable)
  17. Economical Backward Class (EBC) Certificate issued on or after January 01

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 standard examination or an equivalent Examination, from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English/pass in Agriculture Polytechnic

Reservation Criteria

Major Criteria:

  • First 30% seats will be allotted to candidates who have a domicile of Maharashtra or have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate from the State of Maharashtra.
  • Rest 70% of the total capacity will be allotted to students who have passed qualifying examination from school or institution in the University area.
  • 2% seats are allotted to students from other States.

Other Criteria:

  • 30% seats are reserved for Female candidates.
  • 19% seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes.
  • 13% seats are reserved for Schedule Caste.
  • 8% seats are reserved for Nomadic Tribes.
  • 7% seats are reserved for Schedule Tribes.
  • 6% seats are reserved for Agriculturist and Children of Agriculturist who possess minimum qualification or experience in Agriculture.

Admission Process

Admission to all UG programmes shall be done on the basis of marks obtained in Common Entrance Test, conducted by MAHARASHTRA COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (MCAER).



The following scholarships are provided to the meritorious and deserving candidates:

  • Government of India Scholarship to reserved category students
  • Free Studentship to the students of Economically Backward Classes 
  • Government of India National Loan Scholarship
  • Government of India Merit-cum-means Scholarship (ICAR) / Government of India Post matric Scholarship to SC and ST candidates (ICAR) 
  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (Government of Maharashtra)

Hostel Facility:

Hostel facility is available for a limited number of students in the colleges of the universities on merit basis.

Hi Sagar, Yes, there is good hope for you to get the admission through CET Appearance, But Admission is still based on the merit list, so please visit the official website of the university to get latest updates.
