Solapur University UG Admissions 2020: Dates, Form, Eligibility

Solapur University offers its UG courses in BBA, BCA & BSc on campus in Solapur Maharashtra. BSc is offered in 4 different specialisations. They are:

  • General
  • Biotechnology
  • Entire Computer Science
  • Entrepreneurship

Candidates applying for two or more courses have to apply separately for each course.

Solapur University takes Common Entrance Test (CET) for admissions into the courses, for which candidates have to fill the application form online on the website of the university.

University follows Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admissions into different affiliated college around the city. 

The registration form will be released in the month of May and June every year on its official web.

Solapur University will charge INR 200/- for its registration process which is to be paid by issuing challan made at any branch of State Bank of India. Application form once submitted cannot be edited in the future.

Application Process

  • Candidates have to fill the form for BBA/BCA/BSc on the official website of the university.
  • Start filling the form under the admission tab with your personal and academic details.
  • Pay the application fees in cash at the university campus or its affiliated colleges directly or by issuing DD in any branch of State Bank of India. The examination fees is non-refundable and non-transferable in any case.
  • Appear for the entrance and wait for the result.

Documents to be enclosed

  • Original and 3 attested copies of the following documents should be submitted at the time of admission. 
  • SSC Mark list.
  • HSC/Diploma Mark list. 
  • Caste Certificate in case of reservation candidates. 
  • Non Creamy Layer Certificate valid up to 31st March 2016 if applicable. 
  • College Leaving Certificate. 
  • Hall ticket of SU-CET 2016. 
  • Any other relevant document or undertakings. 
  • Domicile certificate

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must have passed in 10+2 in any stream.
  • 2 year Diploma in Pharmacy after 10th from Board of Technical Education conducted by Maharashtra Govt. or its equivalent.
  • 3 year Diploma after 10th from Board of Technical Education conducted by Maharashtra Govt. or its equivalent.
  • Maharashtra to Merge Vocational Courses.
  • CET conducted by the university.

Admission Process

A common entrance test is conducted by the Solapur University for admission to BBA, BCA and B.Sc. (ECS) programmes.

SU-CET Details


  • Separate application will be given for CET of each program.
  • There will be 100 MCQs.
  • Each question carry 1 mark
  • No negative marking for wrong answer.


  • Each question carry 2 marks.
  • There will be 50 MCQs.
  • No negative marking.

Tie-break rule:

In case, if two candidates score same marks in the entrance test then, the candidate who have scored more marks in HSC will be given preference. If there is a tie in HSC score also then, the marks scored in ‘English’ subject will be considered to break the tie. If still there is a situation of tie then, date of birth of the student will be considered. The candidate who is senior will be given preference.

Selection Process

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in SU-CET 2019 and qualifying examination, giving weightage as per university regulations.

After shortlisting of candidates selection is done through CAP (centralised admission process), candidates will have to fill the preferences of the institutions (minimum 1 and maximum 3).

There will be a direct allotment of the seats after the first round of CAP on the basis of their preferences. 80% seats will be allotted through CAP and 20% through management quota.

University follows Govt. of India Guidelines for reserved categories.

Hi Aniket, Minimum eligibility to apply for BCA is candidates must have passed 10 2 with mathematics. So, you are not eligible to apply for BCA in this University.
