Calicut University provides admission to deserving students through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for the academic session 2020-21. This process has been acquired by university to grant admissions in UG programmes related to Arts, science & Technology courses. Under Calicut University scheme separate seat allocation has been performed for students belong to Kashmir, Lakshadweep. Students can apply online for various colleges & courses under CAP. 50% seats through CAP merit have been reserved to grant admission in Self Financing Colleges only. How to Apply for B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA and Other UG Courses
Students can choose up to 20 courses according to their interest & priority in from affiliated colleges of University of Calicut by following these simple steps for online application:
Step1: Fee payment through payment Gateway:
Before fee payment you must have Date of Birth, a valid email ID & mobile number. You have to navigate to the home page of the Calicut University; www.universityofcalicut.info. & click on Instant Web Payment System. Now click on Fee-remittance link on www.cuonline.ac.in. Now pay the fee INR 350 for General (INR 150 for SC/ST).
Way of fee payment for students belongs to Kerala:
Those students, who have State Bank of Travancore (SBT) online facility, can pay through this mode. They can also pay through SBT E-Challan.
Select UGSW18 which is Centralized Admission Process Degree- 2019 Application Fee.
Fill all details & select the mode of fee payment which is SBT online.
Enter the fee amount & click on proceed. Now check all details & click on ‘Pay Now’.
Click on redirect option to go to Calicut University Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS) or wait for 60 seconds.
Take the print out of fee receipt. CAP ID & password will be sent to you through SMS so that you will be able to complete the application proceedings.
They can also pay through SBT E-Challan, Friends Janasevana Kendrum or Akshaya Centres.
Select UGSW15 which is Centralized Admission Process Degree- 2019 Application Fee.
Fill all details & select the mode of fee payment which is SBT E- Challan.
Enter the fee amount & click on proceed.
Take the print out of challan & you can pay the fee in any nearest SBT branch after 3 hours of generation of challan.
After payment you will receive the CAP ID & password within 24 hours.
Step 2: Photo upload requires these things; CAP ID, password, scan passport size photo in jpg. Format (30 to 40KB) & copy of SSC & BPL certificate if applicable. You have to login to www.cuonline.ac.in
Step 3: Register yourself by filling all personal details.
Stage 2 will be completed by the students only after declaration of result.
Step 1: Submission of marks obtained by you in the entrance test.
Step 2: After that students have to fill their choices related to courses & colleges.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA and Other UG Courses
Different courses offered by Calicut University has different eligibility norms as mentioned below.
Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)
10+2 from any recognised university.
10+2 Or 2 year Physical education course.
Age limit- 23 years on 1st July of the Academic year.
BPED (2 year)
Any bachelor degree or equivalent.
Age limit- 26 years of age on 1st July of academic year.
Physically fit (medical certificate by medical officer).
10+2 from higher secondary board of Kerala.
Or Pre-degree from University of Kerala.
Must have any of the following two subjects: Commerce, Commercial Correspondence and commercial geography, Economics, Management, Life Insurance with salesmanship, Banking with secretarial practice, Informatics practice, Business studies, Computer application, Mathematics, and Computer science
Students from different category have different qualifying percentage: General Category- 70%, OBC- 65%, SC- 60%, ST- 55%
Students with pending results can apply for it.
Admission Process for B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA and Other UG Courses
Admission to all courses will be through Common Entrance Test following by merit list. All seats available in University of Calicut have been filled strictly on merit basis whether it is for Government, Aided, Un-Aided (Self – Financing) colleges.
Procedure of indexing of Merit list:
Marks obtained in 10+2 will be considered for merit list preparation. Deciding factors of merit list:
If a student has scored more marks in 10+2 then he/she can easily satisfied the criteria of minimum marks required. Extra marks scored by him will work as bonus points for him/her.
15 marks will have been added in the total marks in case of children & widows of Ex-serviceman & Jawans.
15 marks will be awarded to those students who have been working in Illiteracy Education Programmes on volunteer basis from at least one year.
15 marks will be awarded to NCC & NSS cadets on priority basis, for e.g. priority will be given to A,B,C certificate holders.
10 point bonus will be given to forst rank holder in Kerala state Higher secondary or Vocational Higher Secondary Art Festivals.
Note: 10 point will be deducted for every successive attempt to clear the qualifying exam up to maximum of 25 marks ( for those students who would not be able to pass 10+2 exam in first attempt).
Seats will be allotted by following three allotment processes for Government & Aided colleges & two processes for Un-aided colleges with respect to availability of vacancies.
After trial allotment, seat matrix on the basis of rank & priority order will be published, & all options below the published ranks will be automatically get cancelled. Students whose seat will be confirmed after first allotment have to pay the fee of INR 425 for General (100 for SC/ST).
If a student is satisfied with the allotted seat then he/she can cancelled the remaining options.
Students whose seat has been confirmed, has to report to the respective college along with original & photocopies of the documents.

Transfer & code of conduct certificate
Income/nativity/community certificate, if applicable
Confirmation of admission will be performed by respective college after cross checking of documents & information provided at the time form filling by the student. Information regarding admission should be conveyed to University of Calicut by the college.

Seats under Community quota (For Aided colleges only)
Seats under Management quota (Applicable for Aided/Unaided & unaided courses)
Lakshdweep quota/ students of Kashmir (for affiliated colleges)
PWD & mentally retarded students
Note: Admission to the new colleges & new courses will be made through traditional manner for those students only who have registered themselves for CAP. Trial allotments will be conducted to provide the clear picture regarding the exact allotment process.
Seats available under CAP:
Seats available in Government colleges excluding the seats reserved for students belongs to Union Territory of Lakshadweep, Tamil Linguistic Minority, Sports quota, Person with Disability & Mentally retarded students from Kashmir.
Seats available in Aided colleges for students belong to open quota, SC & ST.
Total 59% Seats are available in Un-Aided & for aided courses in Self- Financing colleges including the seats reserved for SC/ST/SEBC.
Total 59% Seats are available in IHRD self-financing colleges subject to reservation as per Government rules.
Note: To claim reservation under any category students must register for CAP through Calicut University.
