Mumbai University M.E. and M.Tech. Admissions 2020: Dates, Admission Procedure, Application Form

Mumbai University offers ME (Master of Engineering) and M.Tech.(Master of Technology) Program in various disciplines for the academic year 2020. The duration of ME/ M.Tech course is 2 years. Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology with at least 50% marks (General Category) or 45% (Reserved) are eligible for M.Tech/ME by Mumbai University.

These programmes are available in both Part-time and full-time mode in different specializations. Admission to these programs is based on GATE score and will be conducted through DTE Maharashtra website.  Applications to ME/ M.Tech programs can be made in online format at the Mumbai University website after remitting a total of INR 700 (General Category) and INR 500 (Reserved Category). How to Apply?

Intrested candidates can register themselves on the official website of Mumbai University. Students can follow the procedure given below to successfully fill the application form:

  1. Visit the official website of Mumbai University.
  2. Choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter your Name, Contact details, and Email-id.
  3. Carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application.
  4. Upload the photograph and signature in JPG or JPEG format.
  5. The photograph must be a recent passport of size between 20kb to 50 kb with 200 x 230 pixels (preferably) and 4.5cm × 3.5cm dimensions.
  6. Pay INR 700 (General Category) or INR 500(Reserved Category) as the Application Fee using Debit Cards (RuPay /Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. 
  7. After verifying all the details as correct, click the “Final Submission” button. The registration process is now complete.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology with at least 50 % Aggregate marks (general category) or 45% marks (Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only)
  • The applicant should be an Indian national only.
