Mumbai University BMS-MBA Admissions 2020: Dates, Admission Procedure, Application Form

Mumbai University (MU) is the oldest University which was established in 1857 and located at Mumbai, Maharashtra and one of the first three universities in India.  Several private colleges in and around Mumbai are affiliated to MU. It has established its name in industrial & International collaborations and runs various professional courses. At national level, it has excelled in sports, cultural and out-reach activities. Mumbai University was accorded 5-star status in 2001 & 'A' grade status in April 2012 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has been granted University with Potential for Excellence (UPE) status by UGC and PURSE Scheme by DST.

In the last five years it has seen 104% increase in undergraduate students. The University of Mumbai is one of the largest universities in the world in terms of the number of students. More than eighty of its teachers are on various professional bodies. Moreover, eighteen National/International awards have been won by the teachers in the last five years.

The admission shall be based on All India Merit Rank of Mumbai University Common Management Entrance test (MUCMET) to be held on May 14th, 2020 (tentative). The application form for the course must be submitted by May 10th, 2020 (tentative). Also, check Mumbai University Admission 2020

The University invites Applications for admission to the BMS-MBA Programme for the academic year 2020-21 at the University of Mumbai, Thane Sub Campus. It is an integrated course for a duration of 5 years. Total seats available for the course are 60 seats.

How to Apply?

You should go to the website of the University of Mumbai, and follow the link for admission for Integrated Management Program (BMS-MBA).

You should register yourself by filling the online form available at the website. You must then take the print out of the form.

Application Fee: You should go to the payment link and pay the fee given below. You can make the payment through Demand Draft of Nationalised Bank, in favour of “Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai” to be submitted at Thane Sub Campus.

  • Rs 500 /- for open category
  • Rs. 250 for reserved category

You should print the payment confirmation page and keep it with the copy of your application form.

The form has a Hall Ticket. You must fill complete information on that and paste your recent passport size photograph.

You should then submit all these (Print out of Form, Payment details and Hall Ticket) to the address given below in person on or before June 7th, 2020 (tentative) on working days (except second and fourth Monday, Sunday and public holidays) from 11.00 to 4.00 pm (1.00 pm to 1.30 pm Lunch break):

Eligiblity Criteria

You should have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognised Board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for general category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved Category from Science, Commerce, Arts or any other stream / discipline.

Age: You should be Below 20 years of age as on 7th Junw, 2020 for general category and 22 years in case of Reserved Category and PWD candidates.

Reservation Criteria

85% of the seats shall be reserved for the students qualified and domiciled in Maharashtra.

Selection Process

Your selection shall be based on All India Merit Rank of Mumbai University Common Management Entrance Test (MUCMET) 2020 for Integrated Management Programme.

MUCMET 2020 exam will be based on Multiple Choice of Questions. The test will be divided into 4 sections i.e. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/Abstract Reasoning and General Knowledge. The question paper will carry 100 questions. The time duration of the test will be of 2 Hours. The medium of the paper with will be English.

For Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: Your English language ability would be tested through questions on: understanding of the contents of the passage and choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills.

For Logical/Abstract Reasoning: This test measures how quickly and accurately you can think. This test may have questions based on figures and diagrams.

Hi Mubasshira, no such provision is available in the university. You will have to take admission in first year following the general procedure.

Hi Sanam, June 20, 2019 (tentatively) was the last date to apply for admission in this course. However, application forms are expected to release from May, 2020.

Hi Maitri, candidate must score 45% aggregate in HSC for getting admission in the mentioned course. Admission process will start from May 16, 2019 (tentatively).
