University of Mysore was established on 26 July,1916. It promotes teaching and research in conventional and traditional domains of Arts, Humanities, Pure and Applied Sciences and professional disciplines. It is approved by UGC Act and accredited by NAAC. It provides both under-graduate and post-graduate courses in various fields of Arts, commerce, science, technology etc.

B.A LLB is a Five year integrated course in the Field of Law and B.P.Ed is a two year post-graduate programme in the Field of Education. Admission in these programmes is given on the basis of qualifying examination and even entrance test for B.A LLB.

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves through filling the application form, make the registration payment as asked by the university.

Admission Eligibility

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

The candidate should have done P.U.C (Pre-University Course) or 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST Candidates).

Bachelor of Physical Education [B.P.Ed]

  1. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in any subject with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The candidate should have participated in Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School Competitions in sports and games recognized by Government of India/AIU/IOA/SGFI.

                                                                               OR

  1. The candidate should have bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minimum aggregate of 45%.

                                                              OR

  1. The candidate should have bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% with Physical education as a compulsory/elective subject.

                                                                                 OR

  1. The candidate should have bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% and should have participated in Inter University/State/National Competitions or should have secured 1st/2nd/3rd position in Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District School competitions in sports and games recognized by Government of India/AIU/IOA/SGFI.

  1. The candidate should have bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% and should have participated in International competitions or should have secured 1st/2nd/3rd position in National/Inter-University competitions in sports and games recognized by Government of India/AIU/IOA/SGFI.

  1. The candidate should have bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45% and should have three- year experience in teaching (trained physical education teachers/coaches).
  • For admission in B.P.Ed , one should not be more than 25 years of age on July 01, 2017 (tentative), 27 years for candidates who participated in Inter-College/state/National competitions and 34 years for in service teachers. They should produce the medical certificate to the college issued by a medical officer not below the rank of District Surgeon.


How To Apply

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] & Bachelor of Physical Education [B.P.Ed]

  • Candidates should fill in the application form of the institution in all respects. Application forms can be filled in and submitted through online mode only.
  • Candidates should make an account in the official site of the university by setting a strong password and providing an e-mail address. A single form is to be filled for all courses mentioning the discipline/department/centers/institution/college as the preferences will not be changed afterwards.
  • After filling the relevant details in the form, one has to pay the registration fee as well through online portals of debit card/credit card/net banking. The amount to be paid is INR 300.Amount for different courses hall be paid separately.
  • After payment, university shall generate separate applications of every subject opted by the candidate which has to be printed offline by the candidate.
  • Now, the candidates should attach all the relevant documents to the application to substantiate the claim made in the application, affix his/her signature and accept the declaration jointly with the parents/guardians in the printed applications.
  • Hand over the printed application along with the documents attached to the concerned Chairman of Selection Committee of that subject.
  • Candidates should submit the following attested photocopies of relevant documents along with the printed application:
    1. Marksheets and certificates of P.U.C/10+2 and graduation
    2. Certificate of sports and games issued by the Director of Physical Education, University of Mysore, Mysore.
    3. Certificates of Literary or Cultural activities (if any).
    4. Certificate issues by NCC Directorate or NSS Programme coordinator of the University of Mysore.
    5. Certificate of Employer/Competent Authority for In-service person and Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board/Competent Authority for Ex-Service person (for candidates under Defence quota).
    6. Caste Certificate for minority category students.
    7. Certificate issued by a Doctor of the rank of Professor in a Government Medical College/Hospital. (for candidates under Physically-Challenged Quota).
    8. Candidates who wish to take the admission under children of Teaching and Non-Teaching Employees Quota of University of Mysore should generate a certificate issued by the Registrar, University of Mysore, Mysore.
    9. Income Certificate.
    10. Certificate from MHRD, New Delhi for Kashmiri Migrants and Parsi Students.
    11. Four stamp-sized Photographs.
  • All these original certificates and documents should be submitted at the time of admission.

Notes:

The university of Mysore has separate hostels for men and women. It also has separate cells for minority students and other student clubs.


Admission Process

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.]

Admission will be on the basis of 10+2 marks and entrance examination. Candidates who have passed 

Bachelor of Physical Education [B.P.Ed]

Admission will be on the basis of academic performance in 10+2 and graduation marks, sports achievement and points scored in Physical Efficiency Tests conducted by the institution. Also, Physical fitness is assessed by National Physical Fitness Programme Tests of India.


Reservation

Reservations of seats are done as per the regulations of Government of India.
