Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is a deemed university imparting professional education, research and training in various fields such as medical, dental and paramedical. The university has six constituent colleges and offers various under graduate, post graduate and Diploma level programs.

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences offers admission to the following bachelor degree programmes through the faculty of allied sciences to its students every year: 

  • Bachelors of Physiotherapy (BPT)
  • B.Sc. Nursing
  • Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Admission to the above mentioned programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the university entrance examination (AICET-ASUG). Candidates can register for admission to the above mentioned programme by filling-in the online application form and submitting it along with the required processing fee, on or before June 8, 2020 (tentative).

Eligibility Criteria

Duration of the Programme: 4½ years + 6 months internship


  • Candidates should be of Indian origin and must be must be born on or before December 31, 1997
  • Candidates should have completed the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/CBSE/any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto from a recognized board/university/college
  • Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English individually. Candidate should have passed with minimum 50% of marks (40% for SC, ST, VJNT & OBC) in all the above subjects taken together and each subject individually
  • Candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination in February/March 2020 are also eligible to appear for PIMS AICET-ASUG 2020. However, they must fulfill the eligibility conditions at the time of counselling

Selection Process

Admission of candidates to above mentioned UG program will be done on the basis of their performance in the All India Entrance Test (AICET-ASUG) conducted by PIMS University, governed by Admission Committee consisting of experienced persons.

Application Process

Candidates can apply for admission through online / offline registration process and submit completed application before June 8, 2020 (tentative). All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information.

  • Candidate can purchase the printed application form in person from the university office upon submitting the fee of Rs. 700/- through demand draft (DD) drawn from any nationalised bank in favour of “Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni” and payable at Pune - Service Branch.
  • Candidates can also download the printed form available at the university office and submit it upon completion along with the entrance fee of Rs. 950/- through DD. The candidates should write their full name, address and application form number on the reverse side of the demand draft (DD)
  • Completed applications, in all respects, along with the demand draft and relevant documents should reach, before June 8, 2020 (tentative), the following address:

Reservation Criteria

General Category: 85% seats of each course are allocated in this category. The admission to this category will be made on the basis of interest- merit of the candidates at AICET.

FN (Foreign Nationals) / PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) / NRI (Non-Resident Indians) Category: 15% seats of each course are allocated in this category.


SC/ST/NT & OBC candidates are required to attach caste verification certificates along with the completed applications.

The candidate must bring original certificates and three sets of attested photocopies of the following documents only at the time of counselling:   

  1. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet   
  2. PIMS- AICET-ASUG 2020 Hall Ticket
  3. PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2020 Marks Statement
  4. Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
  5. Transfer Certificate

  14. Revised General Nursing & Midwifery Mark Statement & Certificate, Nursing Council Registration Certificate, Experience Certificate (in case of candidates seeking admission to PB B.Sc. Nursing course)

The university offers Erasmus Mundus scholarship, a scheme for academic exchange funded by the European Commission. It provides selected undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral students as well as staff with financial means to cover travel, insurance, possible tuition, living expenses and housing.

Hostel facility:

University offers the hostel facility to the desirous candidates in the respective constituent colleges.
