Admission Eligibility

Ph.D. (Astronomy & Astrophysics)

Candidates desirous of taking admission in Ph.D. programme must have a min a minimum of 60% in Master’s degree of the respected specialized research department from a recognized institute or university or should have score of UGC-JRF, JEST, NBHM Screening Test,UGC-NET.

  • Application forms for Integrated Ph.D. Programmes will be available online only.
  • To download e-brochure and to apply visit the Institute website.
  • Candidates have two options to pay application fee: -
  1. Online Payment – Payment made through Net-banking, Debit Card, Visa/Master Credit Card Payments.
  2. Offline Payment - SBI Bank branches accept Challan payment across the country

Admission Process

Ph.D. (Astronomy & Astrophysics)

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of the eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of their score secured in the qualification examination.

Note - As per the Government of India regulations, Grade/Class of qualifying examination and minimum marks secured is relaxed to a “pass class” for SC/ST candidates.
