Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU)is a public university which was established in 1983. It is located at Amravati in the Vidarbha region of the state of Maharashtra, India. It is recognized under UGC act of Ministry of Education and is a member of the Association of commonwealth Universities. SGBAU offers the following postgraduate courses to its students every year: The university offers the following programmes in the faculty Engineering & Technology:
Selection of the candidates to the above mentioned programmes through state common entrance test i.e. MHT-CET 2019 to be conducted by the Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Candidate can register themselves for B.Tech./M.Tech. programme by submitting duly filled-in applications, along with the processing fee of Rs. 800/- for (open category) and Rs. 600/- for (reserved category).

Candidate must be an Indian National and must have passed the HSC or 12th examination or its equivalent examination
Candidate should be an Indian National and must possess Bachelor degree in the relevant course of Engineering/Technology.
Candidate should have passed bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from State Governments/MHRD approved institutions with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for backward categories belonging to Maharashtra state only).
Eligibility of NRI/ Foreign National / PIO category candidates:
Candidate should be Foreign National / Person of Indian Origin /Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries / son and daughter of NRI
Candidate should have passed Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology from State Governments with at least 50 % Aggregate marks.
Candidates can obtain the brochure and can also register themselves through the online application process from the official website of SGBAU.
For online registration, candidate should login to "www.mhtcet.co.in" and click on MHT CET 2019 Registration link. Upon successfully entering the personal information, contact info and educational details on the link, candidate will receive an email confirming the registration
Next, the candidate should upload his/her scanned photograph and signature in jpeg format only. Then, he/she should download the generated Bank challan and submit the prescribed fees through it at any branch of State Bank of India after 48 hours of registration
Candidate should login after 24 hours of making the payment for confirming payment details in their profile. The candidate should generate the MHCET Registration Confirmation Page and save it for future references
Note: Application fee is Rs. 800/- for (open category) and Rs. 600/- for (reserved category)
Candidates can register themselves by submitting the online application form available at DTE Maharashtra Portal.
Candidate must also pay the processing fees using net banking facility available on the web portal. Application form fee is Rs. 700/- (for General category candidates of Maharashtra state) and Rs. 500/- (for reserved category candidates and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State)
Upon successful registration, the candidates will receive a soft copy of Receipt of Payment of fees titled as “candidate’s copy”. The candidate should preserve the attested receipts of the payment for future references

Caste certificate (if applicable)

Non Creamy Layer certificate
Domicile certificate of candidate’s father/mother (if applicable)
Domicile certificate of candidate: In case of Type-A candidate In lieu of Domicile certificate candidates should produce Birth Certificate of candidate indicating place of birth in Maharashtra OR School Leaving Certificate indicating place of birth of candidate is in Maharashtra
Receipt of payment of application processing fees to be duly signed by ARC officer at the time of confirmation of application at ARC
Selection of the candidate for B.Tech. programme is done on the basis of their performance in the state common entrance test i.e. MHT-CET 2019, to be conducted by DTE Maharashtra.
Selection of the candidate to M.Tech. programme is done on the basis of their GATE scores
If the candidates secure equal GATE score, then the candidate with higher percentage of marks scored in aggregate at the HSC (Std. XII)/ Diploma/ SSC or its equivalent examination will get preference.
70% seats are reserved for the students of the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University
20% seats are reserved for the other university students & students belonging to other states
10% seats are reserved for the students from the foreign universities
