SGBAU B. Tech & M. Tech Admission 2020: Admit Card, Entrance Exam, Result

Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU)is a public university which was established in 1983. It is located at Amravati in the Vidarbha region of the state of Maharashtra, India. It is recognized under UGC act of Ministry of Education and is a member of the Association of commonwealth Universities.

SGBAU offers the following postgraduate courses to its students every year: The university offers the following programmes in the faculty Engineering & Technology:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.)
  • Master of Technology (M. Tech.)

Selection of the candidates to the above-mentioned programmes through state common entrance test i.e. MHT-CET 2020 to be conducted by the Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). 
Candidate can register themselves for B.Tech./M.Tech. programme by submitting duly filled-in applications, along with the processing fee of Rs. 800/- for (open category) and Rs. 600/- for (reserved category).

Application Process

For online registration, candidate should login to "www.mhtcet.co.in" and click on MHT CET 2020 Registration link. Upon successfully entering the personal information, contact info and educational details on the link, the candidate will receive an email confirming the registration.

To register for admission at SGBAU, the candidates must register through the university’s official website- sgbau.ucanapply.com

  • Submit your Login credentials
  • Click on the Exam Form.
  • Click on Edit/View
  • Click on Application Detail
  • Fill in all the mandatory details.
  • Upload the photograph and the signature
  • Save and preview the form.
  • After careful verification, Submit the form.
  • Print the form for future reference,
  • Logout

Pay the registration fees of INR 300/-

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech. aspirants will be required to appear for MHT-CET.

  • Candidate must be an Indian National and must have passed the HSC or 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology as the third subject.
  • The candidate must have obtained at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) in a combination of the above-mentioned subjects.
  • Candidate must appear in all the subjects in CET and must obtain a non-zero score in CET.

Admission Reservation

  • 70% seats are reserved for the students of the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University
  • 20% seats are reserved for the other university students & students belonging to other states
  • 10% seats are reserved for the students from the foreign universities

Admission process

Selection of the candidate for B.Tech. programme is done on the basis of their performance in the state common entrance test i.e. MHT-CET 2020, to be conducted by DTE Maharashtra.
