DY Patil Vidyapeeth Pune (DPU) B.Tech and Integrated M.Tech Admissions 2019: Dates, Application Process, Eligibility

Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune provides B.Tech and M.Tech. integrated program. University offers two specialisations for B.Tech- B.Tech in medical biotechnology (60 seats) , and B.Tech. in Biotechnology (120 seats). For M.Tech (integrated), the university offers specialisation in Biotechnology (30 seats).

B.Tech is a four year course and B.Tech-M.Tech (integrated) is a five year program. Students aspiring admission in M.Tech (integrated) and B.Tech must have done HSC (10+2) from any recognised board or some equivalent.

Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth offers admission in both the courses on the basis of AIAHCET.

Application form for All Indian entrance examination can be found online on the official website of the university. Students can do the payment online of INR 1300 /-.

The merit list for both the courses will be released on the basis of the score obtained in AIAHCET. There are nine exam centres where AIAHCET is being conducted.

AIAHCET is conducted in the month of June, it is a complete MCQ based exam. Exam will be for 1 hour 30 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Student must be an Indian national.
  • By December 31 (academic year), students must be of 17 years.
  • HSC OR 10+2 with three compulsory subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology or life sciences or some equivalent qualification
  • 45% for general category.
  • 40% for reserved category.

Eligibility for NRI/ FN/ PIO

  • HSC OR 10+2 with three compulsory subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology or life sciences or some equivalent qualification
  • Cambridge International Examination (CIE) candidates should have Chemistry, Physics, Biology at "advanced" level with English.


How to Apply

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Biotechnology) & BE/B.Tech

  • Go to the official website of the university www.dpu.edu.in
  • Click on the program tab.
  • Choose the program " B.Tech (Biotechnology) or B.Tech (Medical Biotechnology) ".
  • Introduction page will get open for B.Tech.
  • Click on "apply online" in the Introduction section.
  • You will be redirected to the registration page.
  • After that you will get your login credentials to apply.
  • Upload all your documents.
  • Make the payment and after that you can click the submit button
  • Students must pay an application fee of INR 1300 /- (entrance test fee + processing fee) without payment, form won’t be considered as submitted.
  • In case of late payment students have to pay INR 1550 /-
  • Once the student has paid the application then they must download the admit card from the official website, which is expected to be released two week before the examination.
  • Exam will be held in June (start)
  • Keep the login credentials safe as you will require them for downloading the admit card and result as well.
