D.Y. Patil VidyaPeeth (DYPV), Pune is a deemed university, located in Maharashtra, imparting professional education in different fields such as medical, dental, engineering, paramedical and management. The university has 6 constituent colleges which offers various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and research programmes to its students.

D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth offers admission to the following Paramedical degree programmes at undergraduate (UG) level:

  • B.Sc. in Nursing
  • Post-Basic (PB) B.Sc. in Nursing
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Bachelor of Optometry

Candidates of Indian as well as foreign origin with the relevant qualifying degree are eligible to apply for the above mentioned UG programmes. Few seats are reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

Candidates can register for admission to above mentioned programme by filling-in the online/ offline application form and submitting it along with the required processing fee before the due date. Admission to the above mentioned programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the entrance examination DPU (AIAHCET).

Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc. Nursing

Course duration: 4 years

Intake capacity: 60


  • Candidates should be of Indian origin and must have completed 17 years of age to be eligible to appear in the AIAHCET.
  • Candidates should possess the Higher Secondary Course (10+2)/ CBSE/ any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with PCB and English subjects passed individually
  • Minimum required aggregate of marks for general candidates is 45% and there is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates

Post basic B.Sc.  Nursing

Course duration: 2 years

Intake capacity: 30


  • Candidates should be of Indian origin and must have completed 17 years of age before to be eligible to appear in the AIAHCET.
  • Candidates should have passed Revised General Nursing Midwifery (RGNM) / General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) examination

Admission Process

Candidates will be selected for admission to the above mentioned programmes on the basis of their performance as per the merit in the DPU-AIAHCET.

How to Apply

  • Candidates can apply for admission through online / office registration process and submit completed applications before the due date. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information
  • Candidate can purchase the concerned application form in person from the university office upon paying Rs.500/- or obtain it by sending a requisition letter along with the from fee through demand draft (DD) of Rs. 600/-
  • The letter should contain the name of course opted for, correspondence address, and contact number and should be sent along with the DD of Rs. 600/- drawn in the favour of “Registar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, and payable at Pune
  • Completed applications should be sent along with the test fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rs.750/- for BPT programme) through DD drawn in the favour of “Registar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, payable at Pune
  • Candidates can also download the application form through the official university website “”. In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent to the registrar along with the demand draft (DD) of Rs. 2600/- (Rs.1350/- for BPT programme)
  • Purchased applications can also be submitted along with late test fee of Rs.2250/- (Rs. 1000/- for BPT programme) through DD. In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent along with Rs. 2850/- (Rs. 1250/- for BPT programme) on or before the last date
  • Completed applications, in all respects, can be submitted in person at the university office or should be mailed to the following address:

The candidate must bring the following certificates in original, along with two sets of attested copies, at the time of counselling:   

  1. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet   
  2. Entrance exam hall ticket
  3. Entrance exam marks statement.
  4. Transfer Certificate   
  5. Community Certificate (For OC candidates community certificate not required)   
  6. Certificates for Special categories, if required     
  7. Nativity Certificate if required   
  8. Medical certificate
  9. First Graduate Certificate and Joint declaration form, if required
  10. Passport size photographs
