Mumbai University B.Pharm. Admissions 2020: Dates, Admission Procedure, Application Form

Mumbai University has released the merit for admission to this year. As always, the university took admission on the basis of names in the list. The first merit list was made available from August 16 and the fourth list was released on August 24. The lists were available at the official website of the university.

Mumbai University is one of the oldest universities in India. The university opens up the admissions for the seekers of B.Pharm program. B.Pharm program is a UG program for the academics in Pharmacy. It is generally a prerequisite for the practice of pharmacy. 12th pass candidates are eligible for the application. The admission is done through MHT-CET (Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test). 

The registration fees for the MHT-CET is INR 800/- (INR 600/- for SC/ST) that is to be by online Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking. The offline mode of payment will be by issuing the e-challan.

University follows the norms of the Maharashtra Govt. for reserving seats.

Eligibility Criteria

MHT-CET 2020

The candidate must have cleared 10+2 from a recognised school or institutions.

B.Pharm

  • Candidate must be Indian.
  • HSC (12th) passed from Maharashtra Board or from any recognised Board of the country.
  • Having Biology/Mathematics as one of the main subject.
  • 50% marks in total (45% for the backward classes belonging to the Maharashtra state only.
  • Marks of Biology/Mathematics is used separately for addition.
  • Scores of MHT-CET.
  • Technical vocational subjects are also counted.

Selection Process

Admissions under B.Pharm is strictly on the basis of the scores of MHT-CET along with 50% marks in your 10+2.

How to apply?

  • Visit the official website http://mu.ac.in/.
  • Click on the “Register Link”.
  • Sign up as a new user.
  • Remember your user ID and password.
  • Login using your generated user ID.
  • Start filling the online application form.
  • Upload the stated documents.
  • Pay the registration fees.

Paying through e-challan for MHT-CET must be printed out on an A4 size sheet and make payment through any registered branch of any bank (INR 60/- will be charged extra for bank commission).

You should login after 24hrs using for user ID after making the payment to check whether the Bank had processed transaction or not. Take the print out of the Confirmation Page.

For Offline Application

You should apply directly to the Universities in the State of Maharashtra at Registrar, University of Mumbai, M.G. Road, Fort, Mumbai -400 032

Application Fee: You should then pay the Application fee of 

  • INR 600/- only for residents of Maharashtra 
  • INR 800/- for residents out of Maharashtra State 

You will be getting an issuing letter from the Registrar if you satisfy the eligibility criteria.

Hi Divya,

Hi Nirmal, the university does not provides lateral entry to any of the course. Thus, it cannot be possible.

Hi Misbah, although you are eligible for the course but cannot be granted admission because admission is strictly based on marks scored in MHT-CET conducted by the university.
