TANUVAS B.V.Sc. & AH & B.Tech. Admissions 2020: Courses, Appliaction Procees, Eligibility

Established by the government of Tamil nadu in 1989, Tamil Nadu Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) wasthe first veterinary and animal sciences university to be established in Asia. Realizing the importance of education research in animal and fisheries sciences, the university thrives to increase its productivity towards better income generation for the resource poor farmer by offering undergraduate, post graduate as well as doctoral programmes to its students.

TANUVAS offers the following UG Courses in its constituent colleges:

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & AH)
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)

Only candidates with the relevant qualifying degree can register for admission to B.Tech and B.V.Sc. & AH programme through online application process available at the official university website. Selection of candidates for these programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in qualifying degree examination. Interested candidates can apply by filling the online application form and submitting it along with the required processing fee through online payment modes.

How to Apply

Candidates can apply for admission only through the online registration process, available on the university website.

After filling-in all the relevant details in the application form, the candidate should submit the required processing fee through any of the following methods:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Net Banking

Upon successful payment, candidate should take the printout of the completed application and send it, along with attested copies of supporting documents/certificates, to the following address:

Eligibility

The following section contains detailed information regarding eligibility for different courses offered by the university.

Reservation Criteria

As per the rules prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu, few seats are reserved for different community groups and candidates belonging to special categories such as Differently abled, Sports persons, Children of Freedom Fighter and Children of Ex-serviceman.

The following table shows the percentage of seats reserved for candidates belonging to different community groups:

Note: In case of B.V.Sc. & AHprogramme:

  • 5% of the total seats is reserved for the candidates of Vocational Stream
  • 15% of the seats is reserved for the candidates applying through/selected by the VCI through an All India Entrance Examination

Admission Process

Candidates will be selected for the above mentioned UG programmes on the basis of their performance in the 10+2 qualifying examination.

Notes

Candidates may apply for a single course or more, through a single application, provided they submit the application processing fees accordingly:

  • One Course - INR 600 (INR 300 for SC/SCA/ST)
  • Two Courses - INR 1200 (INR 600 for SC/SCA/ST)
  • Three Courses – INR 1800 (INR 900 for SC/SCA/ST)
  • Four Course - INR 2400 (INR 1200 for SC/SCA/ST)

Hi Sasi, candidate applying for admission in this university must be at least 17 years old. There is no upper age limit to take admission. Thus, you can apply.

Hi Priya, yes, you can apply for admission in this course. Admission to all the UG courses is based on score in intermediate.

Hi Swetha, candidates scoring 60% or more in intermediate are eligible for the course, therefore, you are also eligible. Admission will however be based on merit in qualifying examination.

Hi Sabharishkumar, students who have passed intermediate from a recognized board will be considered eligible for admission. Thus, you are eligible. However, admission will be granted on the basis of marks scored in qualifying examination.

Hi Prabakar, you may apply for admission on the basis of marks in 12th in 2017 but admission will get approved only if you meet the cut off for this session.

Hi Poojan, admission to B.Tech Food Technology will be approved on the basis of merit in qualifying examination i.e. intermediate. Candidates who have scored 70% aggregate in class 12th will be held eligible to apply for admission.

Hi Rajalakshmi, to be eligible for admission in B.V.Sc, candidate need to score an aggregate of 60% in class 12th. However, relaxation of 5% is provided to SC/ST candidates. But, admission will be approved on the basis of merit in HSC.
