Mumbai University (MU) is the oldest University which was established in 1857 and located at Mumbai, Maharashtra and one of the first three universities in India. Several private colleges in and around Mumbai are affiliated to MU. It has established its name in industrial & International collaborations and runs various professional courses. At national level, it has excelled in sports, cultural and outreach activities. Mumbai University was accorded 5-star status in 2001 & 'A' grade status in April 2012 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has been granted University with Potential for Excellence (UPE) status by UGC and PURSE Scheme by DST.
In the last five years, it has seen a 104% increase in undergraduate students. The University of Mumbai is one of the largest universities in the world in terms of the number of students. More than eighty of its teachers are on various professional bodies. Moreover, eighteen National/International awards have been won by the teachers in the last five years. The University also maintains a faculty-student ratio of 1:15.
The University offers Master of Financial Management (MFM), Master of Marketing Management (MMM), Master of Human Resources Development Management (MHRDM), Master of Information Management (MIM) programmes from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JIMS). They are 3 year Part time Degree courses at the University of Mumbai. The Master of Financial Services Management (MFSM) is also a 3 year Part time Degree course. The University invites Applications for the above-mentioned programmes for the academic year. The admission for MFM, MMM, MHRDM and MIM will be based on a Written Test followed by Group Discussion, the applications for which should be submitted. The admission for MMS Programme will be through the MHT-CET.

You should have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination of this university or any other university recognized as equivalent thereto and should have acquired minimum of 2 years work experience in the cadre at supervisory level with the experience being counted from the day subsequent to the last day of the qualifying examination passed by you.
If you have passed from Universities other than Mumbai University, you will have to obtain eligibility certificate from University of Mumbai through JBIMS office.

To be eligible for admission in MFSM, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Those who passed the Graduateship Examination in Industrial Engineering, and who subsequently qualify in the GATE Examination through I.I.T. will be considered eligible for admission to the Part-time degree courses.Master in Management Studies [MMS]

To apply for admission, the candidate must first register through the official website.
Submit the form along with the necessary documents at the university.
There are no application fees required to apply to any Program. One needs to deposit admission fees to college after admission gets confirmed.
One will be selected on the basis of Written Test followed by a Group Discussion.
The written test is a multiple choice objective type questions test for a duration of 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The questions will be based on comprehension, quantitative ability, logic, and general knowledge.
The admission procedure will consist of a Written Test and In-Person Assessment.
The applicants will have to appear for a Written Test (WT) and In-Person Assessment(IPA) that includes Written Aptitude Test(WAT), Group Activity(GA) And Personal Interview(PI).
In selecting the candidate for admission, weightage will be given to (a) one’s scholastic record; (b) the level and nature of practical experience; and (c) performance in the selection programme conducted by the institute.
For MMS, the admission will be based on the marks secured in the MHT-CET. Candidates will be called for a screening process based on their rank in the merit list.

The reservation policy for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Vimukta Jati, Nomadic Tribe, Denotified Tribe, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Classes will be as per Government of Maharashtra guidelines.
