DY Patil University Pune (DPU) M.Ch. and D.M. Admissions 2019: Courses, Application Process, Eligibility

D.Y. Patil VidyaPeeth (DYPV), Pune is a deemed university, located in Maharashtra, imparting professional education in different fields such as medical, dental, engineering, paramedical and management. The university has 6 constituent colleges which offers various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and research programmes to its students.

D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth offers admission to the following super speciality programmes in various disciplines:

  • Doctor of Medicine (D.M.)
  • Master of Chirurgie (M.Ch.)  

Candidates having MS or equivalent degree from a recognized institute are eligible to apply for the above mentioned programmes. Candidate can register themselves by downloading application forms and submitting them upon completion along with the DD of Rs. 3100/- favouring the “The Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune”, Payable at Pune.

Candidates can also obtain application form through post by sending DD of Rs. 1100/- to the university. In such case, completed applications should be submitted along with the examination fee of Rs. 2000/- before the due date.

Eligibility Criteria

Master of Chirurgiae [M.Ch] (Neuro Surgery) & Master of Chirurgiae [M.Ch] (Urology)

M.Ch. programme is offered in the following disciplines:

  • M.Ch. in Neurosurgery – (1 seat)
  • M.Ch. in Urology – (1 seat)

Eligibility: Candidates must possess M.S. (General Surgery) or equivalent degree from a recognized medical college

DM [Nephrology]

D.M. in Nephrology – (1 seat)

Eligibility: Candidates must possess MD (General Medicine) or MD (Paediatrics) or equivalent degree from a recognized medical college.


How to Apply

Master of Chirurgiae [M.Ch] (Neuro Surgery) , Master of Chirurgiae [M.Ch] (Urology) & DM [Nephrology]

  • Candidates can apply for admission through online / office registration process and submit completed applications before the due date. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information
  • Candidate can purchase the concerned application form in person from the university office upon paying Rs.1000/- or obtain it by sending a requisition letter along with the from fee through demand draft (DD) of Rs. 1100/-
  • The letter should contain the name of course opted for, correspondence address, and contact number and should be sent along with the DD of Rs. 1100/- drawn in the favour of “Registar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, and payable at Pune
  • Completed applications should be sent along with the test fee of Rs. 2000/- through DD drawn in the favour of “Registar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, payable at Pune
  • Candidates can also download the application form through the official university website “www.dpu.edu.in”. In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent to the registrar along with the demand draft (DD) of Rs. 3100/- (form fee + examination fee)
  • Purchased applications can also be submitted along with late test fee of Rs.2250/- through DD. In case of downloaded forms, duly filled-in applications should be sent along with Rs. 3350/- (form fee + examination fee) on or before the last date

Admission Process

Master of Chirurgiae [M.Ch] (Neuro Surgery) , Master of Chirurgiae [M.Ch] (Urology) & DM [Nephrology]

Selection of the candidate will be based on the AICET-II entrance test conducted by the university. Candidate must secure at least 50% marks in the entrance test in order to be considered for admission to the D.M. / M.Ch. programme.
