University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (UASD) is a state agriculture university established by the Government of Karnataka which imparts education, research and extension activities in the fields of agriculture, forestry, food science, agro-marketing and home science.
Graduates are appointed as agriculture scientists, agriculture officers in state and central governments, banks and other financial institutions such as insurance companies. With the setting up of commodity exchanges in India, degree holders in agriculture are in greater demand.
Selection is made on the basis of marks secured in the entrance test and graduation degree.
You can apply both online and offline for the courses. Reservations are on the basis of norms prescribed by the state government from time to time.

Application can be obtained from the SBI, UAS Campus branch, Dharwad or the Deans of the college of Agriculture, Bijapur/Hanumanamatti; College of forestry, Sirsi on payment of requisite fee in the form of demand draft.
Application can also be downloaded from the university website and in such cases the candidates may send demand draft towards requisite application fees along with filled in applications.
NOTE: The application fees for Post Graduate Degree Programme is Rs.600/-(Rs.300/- for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates)
The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in the concerned discipline for each subject group from a recognized University with CGPA / OGPA of not less than 2.25/4.00 or 6.00 / 10.00 or an equivalent CGPA / OGPA.
For SC/ST/Cat-I candidates, mere pass is enough.
Selection will be made on the following basis:
Weightage to the extent of 50 per cent marks in qualifying degree: 50
Marks obtained out of 50 marks in Entrance Test: 50
The written test consists of 100 multiple choice questions which may be answered in a maximum of 75 minutes.
