Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) Ph.D. Admissions 2019: Application Form, Dates, Eligibility, Fees

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science offers admission in Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Indian System Of Medicine Including Homeopathy, and Nursing faculties of Ph.D.

Only candidates who have obtained a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject under various faculties of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or a PG degree considered, as equivalent by this University are eligible for enrolment for Ph.D. Course in this University. Seats are reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC etc. of the state of Karnataka.

Candidates can register for admission to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science by filling in the online application form and submitting the application (in person/by post) along with the required processing fee, on or before the last date. Admission to the Ph.D. programs is granted on the basis of the interview held by the Selection Committee. Check Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science Admission 2019.

Application Process

Candidates must apply for admission through online registration process and submit the completed application form. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled in with the relevant information. To fill the application form correctly, aspirants should log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

  1. In the “Admissions” section, click on “Online Application” link.
  2. Click on “Apply Now” button and fill in the application form along with the scanned photograph.
  3. Click on “Save” button if you need to make any changes or click on the “Submit” button if all the particulars are correct.
  4. Upon clicking “Submit” button, pay the application fee of  Rs. 2500/-  through the available online payment modes (Debit or Credit Cards, Master or Visa).

*PAYMENT BY ANY OTHER MODES WON’T BE ACCEPTED

  1. Upon successful submission, the candidate will receive a confirmation mail along with your Login ID and Application Number
  2. Candidate must download the completed applications for subsequent use

Enclosures:

 The candidate has to submit the attested photocopies of the following documents duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the filled application form.

  1. 10th Marks card/Birth Certificate for proof of age.
  2. Attempt Certificate of PG Degree issued by the Principal.
  3. Permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate including PG.
  4. UG Degree Certificate.
  5. Marks cards and Degree certificate of Post-Graduation.
  6. Probationary Period declaration certificate (Applicable to Karnataka Govt. In-service candidates).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates with MD/MS, MRCP/FRCS (granted in UK on or before November 11, 1975 as per MCI Act 1956, second schedule) or equivalent are eligible to register for Ph.D.. course in their subject of specialization.
  • In case of clinical subjects, candidates possessing M.D., M.S., D.M., M.Ch or any equivalent P.G. degree after M.B.B.S. recognized by RGUHS are eligible.
  • In case of Pre-Clinical and Para-Clinical subjects, candidates who have done M.D. or M.S. after MBBS degree, non-medical candidates with M.Sc in relevant specialization are also eligible.
  • Applicants holding M.Sc. in Human Genetics degree are also eligible to register for Ph.D. course in Medical Genetics.
  • Oncology: Candidates who have obtained M.Sc. in Basic course of oncology Science in the subjects noted below from the Universities established by law in India are eligible to register for Ph.D. course in their respective subjects provided they have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the concerned subject.
    • M.Sc. Zoology
    • M.Sc. Physics
    • M.Sc. in Nuclear Physics
    • M.Sc. in Medical Physics
    • M.Sc. in Radiation Physics
    • M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology
    • M.Sc. in Biotechnology
    • M.Sc. in Medical / Clinical Biochemistry.
  • Physiotherapy: Candidates with a PG degree in Physiotherapy i.e., MPT degree awarded are eligible for enrollment to Ph.D. course in Physiotherapy under Medical faculty.

  • Masters Degree holders in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent are eligible for enrollment to Ph.D. course in Health Sciences Library and Information System (HSLIS). 

??NOTE: The Ph.D. degree to be awarded to Non – Medical M.Sc. candidates registered for Ph.D. at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore shall be given with a different nomenclature as “Ph.D. in Allied Health Sciences (Non – Medical subject to be specified).Health Sciences Library and Information System (HSLIS)

Selection Process

All applications received by the University on or before the stipulated time and date shall be placed before the Ph.D. Registration Committee of the respective faculty.  The Committee shall then examine the applications and after satisfying itself about the eligibility requirements, conduct an interview for the candidates.

The details of fee structure, submission of undertaking (bond), service conditions and admission details etc., may be obtained from the respective Institution’s Website.

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences of offers scholarship for the candidates those are financially week or they are facing some other money problem during their study period .Eligible and interested candidates can fill the scholarship form with the help of official website.
