Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) is a public/ government university which was established in 1958. It is located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. It is one of the oldest premier university which adjoining regions and people in innumerable ways. The university has 404 affiliated colleges which comes under four districts of Maharashtra state.

BAMU offers under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) programmes in various disciplines.

Under graduate course:

B. Tech. (in 2 disciplines)

Post graduate course:

M. Tech.

Candidates can get admission to the above mentioned B. Tech. course through MHT-CET entrance test.

Admission Eligibility

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Chemical Engineering)

Candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% of marks.

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Chemical Engineering)

Candidate must possess degree in BE/ B. Tech. from this university or any other recognized university.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)

Candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% of marks.

How To Apply

  1. Candidates can register themselves by submitting the entrance examination fee of Rs. 200/- (for open category) and Rs. 100/- (for reserved category candidates).
  2. Candidate can download brochure from website for MHT CET  entrance test.
  3. Candidates can register themselves for B. Tech. course by submitting entrance examination fee of amount Rs. 860/- (for open category candidates) and Rs. 660/- (for reserved category candidates) through challan to any of the SBI branch.
  4. Candidates must send the application form and all the documents at the following address:

For Online registration

  1. Candidate has to open the university portal and register himself/herself.
  2. After registration candidate receives username and password on his email ID and mobile no.
  3. Candidate can verify the registration and change his/her password.
  4. After that candidate starts filling online application form and upload his/her photo and signature, personal details, contact, correspondence, reservation and educational details.
  5. Candidate prints e-Suvidha kit and enters confirmation code in the system.
  6. Then candidates can select the course from list of first year courses available and selects affiliated college which is running the course.
  7. Then candidate select the required document to be attached with application and takes printout of the form and attached the required documents.
  8. At the end candidate purchases the prospectus of the college and submit application form and required documents in college

  • University provide hostel facility for students on the basis of merit and reservation criteria


  • Scholarship will be given to more than two childerns in the same family.
  • Scholarship will be given to the candidates according to the marks secured in the entrance examination for particular course.

Selection of the candidate for B. Tech. course is done on the basis of MHT-CET entrance test.

  • 3% seats are reserved for physically handicapped seats from respective categories.
  • 2 seats are reserved for the son/ daughter/ wards of freedom fighter/ serviceman/ Ex-serviceman
  • 20% over and above quota reserved for foreign students.
  • One seat is reserved for children of martyr soldiers/ officers of Kargil.
  • 2 seats are reserved for son/ daughter/ wards of employee migrated from outside of university region. They should be employee of central government/ public sector corporations.

One seat is reserved for students who represent the university at national level/ debate competition and youth festival.
