MPKV B.Sc, B.Tech and BBA Admissions 2019

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV) has mandate assigned for advancements in   teaching, research and imparting extension education to the farmers of the State. The University has 2 faculties namely Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering which offer undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes.

The university offers the following Under-graduate courses in several disciplines:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)                 
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)       
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A)

Admission to the above mentioned programmes is done through merit in the qualifying examination. Candidatecanregisterthemselves for admission by submitting completed applications along with the processing fee of Rs.600/- (in case of GC) and Rs. 300/- (in case of SC/ST/OBC).

Eligible candidates can apply through the online application forms available on the official MCAER website and submit them upon completion with the required processing fee. Admission to the graduate programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc (Agriculture)

B.Sc. is offered in the following 4 disciplines:

  1. Agriculture – (4 years)
  2. Horticulture – (4 years)
  3. Agriculture Bio-Technology – (4 years)
  4. Animal Husbandry – (4 years)

Eligibility:

Candidate must have passed +2 examination under 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of higher secondary education or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English or passed Agriculture Polytechnic.

BE/B.Tech

B.Tech. is offered in the following 2 disciplines:

  1. Food Technology – (4 years)
  2. Agriculture Engineering – (4 years)

Eligibility:

Candidate must have passed in +2 examination under 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of higher secondary education or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English

BBA/BBM

Eligibility: Candidate must have passed in +2 examination under 10+2 patterns from Maharashtra State Board of higher secondary education or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology, English and mathematics.


How to Apply

BE/B.Tech & B.Sc (Agriculture)

  • Candidate can download the prospectus and concerned application form available at the official MCAER website
  • Along with duly filled-in applications, candidates have to submit application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 in case of SC/ST/OBC) through Net Banking or DD or by Challan in state bank of India branch. DD should be drawn in favour of “Financial Advisor, MCAER, Pune” and payable at Pune
  • All category Candidates (including reserved & unreserved) from states other than Maharashtra must pay an application fee of Rs. 600/- through DD
  • Printout of a duly filled-in application along with recent passport size photograph and relevant documents must be sent to any of the Application Receipt Centres of the institution

Note: Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Agriculture Polytechnic must submit 2 forms. The marks of Agriculture Polytechnic should be attached to one copy and marks obtained in 12th standard should be enclosed with the second form.

Candidates have to submit application form along with the following self-attested documents:

  1. Mark sheet /Grade card of qualifying examination
  2. School / College (Last attended) Leaving Certificate
  3. Bonafide Certificate in case of candidate admitted by ICAR quota
  4. Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  5. Domicile Certificate / Residential Certificate
  6. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  7. 'Non-Creamy Layer Certificate' issued on or after  April 01 or valid upto the date of submission of application form
  8. Certificate of ‘Project Affected Person’ issued by the District Resettlement Officer of Government of Maharashtra
  9. N.C.C. ‘B’ or ‘C’ / Air / Naval /Army wing Certificate
  10. Certificate of Games/Sports/Debate/Essay/Elocution issued by the District Sports Officer
  11. A Certificate of the Freedom Fighter of the applicant’s parents issued under the signature of the Honourable Prime Minister / Chief Minister of Maharashtra State
  12. N.S.S. Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
  13. Defence Personnel Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board
  14. ‘No-Objection Certificate’ from the Employer in case of Inservice Candidate
  15. Migrant/Displaced students from Jammu and Kashmir State should submit Certificate from the Competent Authority
  16. Certificate of Handicapped issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable)
  17. Economical Backward Class (EBC) Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2015


Admission Process

B.Sc (Agriculture) , BE/B.Tech & BBA/BBM

Admission to all UG programmes shall be done on the basis of marks obtained in Common Entrance Test, conducted by MAHARASHTRA COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (MCAER).


Reservation Criteria

70% seats will be reserved of university quota i.e. (U-Quota) and 30% will be served for state quota i.e. (S-Quota) candidates

Reservation in case of Non- granted colleges:

  • 20% seats will be reserved for management quota.
  • Out of remaining 80% seats - 30% seats are reserved for Maharashtra quota and 70% for university quota.
