MAFSU B.Tech, BVSc & AH and BFSc Admissions 2020: Courses, Eligibility, Merit List

Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) is one of the pioneer institutes related to Veterinary Research and Extension in Central India. It is a globally recognized institution which specializes in courses related to animal, veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences.

MAFSU offers the following 3 courses at undergraduate level to its students:

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)
  • Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.)

Admission to the above mentioned programmes is done through the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination. Candidate can register themselves by applying online and submitting the application fee Rs.600/- (in case of GC) and Rs. 300/- (in case of SC/ST/OBC). Check MAFSU Admission

How to Apply

  • Candidate can download the prospectus along with the application form available at the official university website
  • To apply online, candidates are required to visit the official website and go to the “Apply online” section. Upon filling-in all the required details and uploading documents, photograph and signature, candidate should click on “Submit” button
  • While applying online, candidates have to submit application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 in case of SC/ST/OBC) online through Net Banking or Credit / Debit Card
  • All category Candidates (including reserved & unreserved) from states other than Maharashtra have to pay application fee of Rs. 600/-

Candidates have to submit application form along with all the self attested following documents:

  1. Mark sheet /Grade card of qualifying examination
  2. School / College (Last attended) Leaving Certificate
  3. Bonafide Certificate in case of candidate admitted by ICAR quota
  4. Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  5. Domicile Certificate / Residential Certificate
  6. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  7. Caste Validity Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
  8. 'Non-Creamy Layer Certificate' issued on or after April 01, 2015 or valid upto the date of submission of application form
  9. Landless Agricultural Labourer Certificate issued by the Tahsildar/Naib Tahsildar
  10. Certificate of Agriculturist for the year 2014-2015 issued by the Tahsildar or Naib Tahsildar
  11. Certificate of ‘Project Affected Person’ issued by the District Resettlement Officer of Government of Maharashtra
  12. N.C.C. ‘B’ or ‘C’ / Air / Naval /Army wing Certificate
  13. Certificate of Games/Sports/Debate/Essay/Elocution issued by the District Sports Officer
  14. A Certificate of the Freedom Fighter of the applicant’s parents issued under the signature of the Honourable Prime Minister / Chief Minister of Maharashtra State
  15. N.S.S. Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
  16. Defence Personnel Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board
  17. ‘No-Objection Certificate’ from the Employer in case of Inservice Candidate
  18. Migrant/Displaced students from Jammu and Kashmir State should submit Certificate from the Competent Authority
  19. Certificate of Handicapped issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable)

Eligibility Criteria

For Indian candidates:

Eligibility: Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with NEET from Maharashtra State Board with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English together for unreserved categories.  For reserved category candidates, at least 40% aggregate is required in the above subjects.

For NRI candidates:

For B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme:

Eligibility:

  • Candidate must have passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English separately. Candidates must have appeared for Common Entrance Test
  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age at the time of applying for admission

For B.Tech. & B.F.Sc. in Diary technology programme:

Eligibility:

  • Candidate must have passed in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English taken together. Candidate must have appeared for Common Entrance Test
  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age at the time of applying for admission

Reservation Criteria

Reservation for B.V.Sc & A.H programme:

  • 70% seats will be reserved of regional quota i.e. (R-Quota) and 30% will be served for state quota i.e. (S-Quota) candidates.
  • 15% of total intake of each Veterinary College shall be filled by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

Reservation for B.Tech & B.F.Sc programmes:

  • 15% seats will be reserved on the basis of All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR New Delhi

Reservation for NRI candidates:

  • 10 seats over and above the regular intake are reserved for NRI/FN/PIO candidates

Admission Process

Selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of merit in Common Entrance Test (MH-CET).

Hi Nikhil, admission to B.V.Sc is done on the basis of marks in qualifying examination i.e. intermediate. No entrance score is needed in the process.

Hi Prajwal, The eligibility for the bvsc is that the Candidate must have passed 10 2 examination with NEET from Maharashtra State Board with minimum 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English together for unreserved categories.
