Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) BDS and MDS Admissions 2019: Application Form, Dates, Result

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) was established on 1st June 1996 at Bangalore by Govt. of Karnataka. It includes all the health science colleges and institutions in Karnataka with a purpose of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern and Indians systems of medicine.
Candidates must have passed in 2 years pre university examination with English as one subject and Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and individually as well.
Candidates must have passed B.Sc. examination with not less than 2 of the following subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
Candidates must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination but in case of SC/ST/OBC marks required are 40%.
Age limit eligibility
Candidates should have completed 17 years on or before 31st day of December in the year of admission
Candidates must possess a degree in BDS awarded by an Indian University in respect of dental college or equivalent qualification recognized by Dental Council of India.

Candidate can download application form online from the university website “www.rguhs.ac.in”.
Candidates can submit filled application form in person or by post by submitting the DD of Rs. 400/-for general category candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST category candidates for admission in the UG and PG courses along with all the attested copies of the documents submitted at

Candidates have to submit photo copies of all the documents attested by Gazetted Officer along with the filled application form.
S.S.L.C marks card (for proof of Date of Birth).
Marks Card of II-PUC or equivalent examination.
Prescribed certificates in the case of candidates claiming reservation under different categories i.e., category & income certificate issued by the Tahasildar of Karnataka only.
Domicile Certificate for 10 years in Karnataka (Issued by the Tahasildar of Karnataka) or Study Certificate of seven years in Karnataka.
Relevant Certificates for those who are claiming exemption for seven years study in Karnataka.
Candidate studied other than Karnataka PUC Board, CBSE Board and ICSC Board should submit the Eligibility Certificate obtained from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore without fail.
Attested photocopy of transfer certificate.
Physically fitness certificate.
Study certificate for having studied in Rural/Kannada medium.
Enclosures for MDS:
BDS pass/degree certificate issued by the university.
Marks card of all university examination (I to IV BDS year course).
Attempt certificate issued by university.
Certificate regarding the recognition of dental college by dental council of India.
Completion of paid rotator internship certificate.
Registration by any state dental council
Proof of SC/ST category.
BDS & MDS
Selection of the candidates is based on the merit in the degree examination.
Candidates should be Indian citizens.
Selection of the candidates for MDS programme is based on performance in competitive examinations held by central or state or university institutions.
Candidates who possess at least ‘B’ certificate under NCC obtained during the 5 years of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII
Candidates who represented country in international level during and won medals, cups or plates in games during five years period of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards
Candidates who represented Karnataka in any sports or games and won medals, cups or plates during five years period of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards
Candidates who received the “President Award” during the five year period and won medals, cups or plates in games during five years period of study in Karnataka between VIII to XII standards
Application received after last date will be rejected.
