Yogi Vemana Universityis a public university which was established in 2006. The university has 15 departments offering courses at post graduate level in 17 disciplines. University also introduce five years of integrated M.Sc. University offers various courses of post graduate (PG) & integrated level. Candidates can get admission to the above mentioned courses through YVUCET conducted by the university.

Master of Arts [MA] (English)
Candidate must be any graduate with English in part I or II with minimum 40% aggregate marks from this university or any other recognized university.
Master of Arts [MA] (Telugu)
Candidate must be any graduate with Telugu in Part I or Part II or B. A. Oriental learning in Telugu with minimum 40% of aggregate marks from this university or any other recognized university.
Master of Arts [MA] (Economics)
Candidate must possess BA degree in economics with minimum 40% of aggregate marks from this university or any other recognized university.
Master of Arts [MA] (History and Archaeology)
Candidate must be any graduate with minimum 40% of aggregate marks from this university or any other recognized university.
Master of Arts [MA] (Political Science and Public Administration)
Candidate must possess degree in with Political Science / Public Administration with 40% aggregate marks from this university or any other recognized university.
Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biochemistry)
Candidate should pass the qualifying examination in the concerned subjects.
Candidate must also secure 40% marks in the group subjects and for SC/ST candidates pass is sufficient.

Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the registration fee of amount INR 400.

Candidate must have to take two printout copies of application form with recent passport size photograph which is attested by a Gazetted officer

Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of a child of armed person.
Residence Certificate of parents for stay in the state of A.P. from Tahshildar in case of candidates, who have studied outside A.P./ carried out private study.

Selection of the candidate to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of rank in the merit list of YVUCET conducted by the university.
Counselling process:
Candidate must have to attend the counselling at the allotted venue, date and time with the required documents and fees.
If candidate fails to attend the counselling at the specified date and time then the seat of the candidate will be cancelled.

Admission Reservation
In every course of study 85% of seats are reserved for the local category candidates.
Remaining 15% seats are filled by local and non local candidates.
If the SC /ST candidates are not available then the left over seats will go to general category candidates.
One third of the seats are reserved for women candidates in each category (i.e., OC, SC, ST, BC, ECA, PH and L/NL).
