Goa University B.Pharm. and B.Arch. Admissions 2018

Goa University was established in June 1985 under Act of 1984. It is certified by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) in India with a rating of four stars. Goa University offers graduate and post-graduate studies and research programmes

University offers various under graduate (UG) programmes in the following disciplines:

Under graduate courses:

  • B. Arch.
  • B. Pharm.

Candidates can get admission to the above mentioned under graduate (UG) courses through Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET-18).

They can register themselves for the above mentioned B.Arch. and B. Pharm. courses by submitting application fees Rs.1500/- and Rs.1000/- respectively through DD.

NRI candidates can also register themselves for the above mentioned B.Arch. course by submitting admission fee (one time) of Rs.1000/- by DD.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Arch

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must possess Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC).

                                                            Or

  • Candidates must possess 10+3 diploma in any stream recognized by central/state governments with 50% aggregate marks.

                                                            Or

  • Candidates must possess International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination and candidate who score 80/200 at NATA will be eligible for admission to B.Arch.

B.Pharm

  • Candidate must be Indian National
  • Candidate must passed diploma in in Pharmacy with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC) from Board of Technical Education, Goa.
  • Candidate must have passed the Diploma course from Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji, Goa.
  • Candidates who have passed Diploma from other States shall only be eligible for seats remaining vacant after admitting all the candidates from Goa, only if he/she fulfils other eligibility criteria.


Application Process

B.Pharm & B.Arch

  • Candidates can register themselves for B.Arch. course by downlaoding, printing and submitting application form by paying application fees of Rs. 1500/- through DD in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank.
  • Candidates can register themselves for B.Pharm. course by downlaoding, printing and submitting the application form by paying application fees of 1000/- through DD in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank.
  • Candidates seeking admission to the above mentioned courses must have a valid score in GCET-18 and National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
  • Incomplete application form will not be accepted and if the application form is submitted after the scheduled date, then late fees fine of Rs.1000/- will be charged with application fees.

For B.Arch.:

  1. Two recent, identical passport size photographs
  2. Statement of marks of H.S.S.C. (Std. XIIth) or its equivalent examination.
  3. Birth Certificate from Competent Authority.
  4. Certificate of residence from the Mamlatdar, indicating period of continuous residence (minimum last 10 years) of the applicant in Goa
  5. ‘Bonafide student’ certificate (if applicable)
  6. Leaving/Transfer certificate from school or college last attended
  7. ‘Certificate of Income’ in original issued by Panchayat
  8. Non Migrant Caste Certificate
  9. Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable)
  10. OCI /PIO Card /document issued by the Competent Authority for NRI candidates.
  11. A certified copy of the passport as proof of being an Indian Citizen

For B. Pharm.:

  1. Certificate of date of Birth from Registrar of Births & Deaths
  2. Diploma/Degree certificate from the Institute/Board/University attended.
  3. Mark sheet/s covering all the courses studied for the Diploma/Degree programme
  4. Leaving certificate from Institute last attended
  5. SSC/HSSC certificate and mark sheets
  6. Four recent, identical passport size photographs
  7. Income certificate
  8. SC/ST/OBC certificate, wherever applicable


Selection Process

B.Pharm & B.Arch

  • Selection of the candidate is based on the merit list in NATA and the aggregate marks obtained at the qualifying examination (HSSC/Diploma)
  • If the NATA marks are also equal, then candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher in the merit list
  • If the above marks are also equal, then the candidate with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the merit list.  


Reservation Criteria

For B.Arch.:

  • 15 seats are reserved for the management quota and one seat in over & above intake shall be available to Kashmiri Migrants.
  • 2% seats are reserved for the SC category candidates and 12% seats are reserved for the ST category candidates.
  • 27% seats are reserved for the OBC category candidates.

For B. Pharm.:

  • All seats will be considered only as General seats. No seats shall be reserved for any category


Note

Hostel:

  • Hostel facility is applicable for both boys and girls.
