Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Universityis a state university which was established in 1927. The university has 28 departments offering 55 courses and the college of Science and Technology has 19 departments, BRAOU offers 44 courses. College of Engineering has 16 departments including undergraduate and post graduate programmes.

Migration Certificate (for other Universities)
Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate).
Study Certificates for the last seven years or Residence Certificate for preceding seven years of the qualifying examination.
Intermediate original certificate.
Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC/EBC/ Minority candidates.
Valid latest income certificate issued by M.R.O./ Thasildar if fee concession is claimed (the validity of income certificate is four years from the date of issue) or White ration card.
4 recent passport size Photos.
Candidates opting for admission under NCC/Sports/CAP/PH/NSS quota shall produce relevant original certificate, in addition to the above.
Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of children of armed personal.
Physical fitness certificate from an Asst. Civil Surgeon.
One set of Photostat copies of all the above certificates
Candidate must have completed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A./ B.Sc. (Home Science)/BBM and/or the Master Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/ Humanities/Sciences with at least 50% of marks.
Candidate must possess degree in B.E/B.Tech with Science/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification with minimum 55% of marks and 40% marks (for SC/ST/BC/PH category candidates) in the qualifying examination.
Candidates appear for final year examination in the qualifying examination of bachelor’s degree can also apply.
Age limit eligibility: Candidate should have completed 21 years. There is no upper age limit.
Reservation of SC/ST/BC/PH category candidates is based as per the rules in force.
In every course of study 85% of seats are reserved for the local category candidates.
Remaining 15% seats are filled by locals of Andhra Pradesh area.
