Goa University M.Tech and MCA Admission 2020: Courses, Result, Entrance Exam, Fees

Goa University was established on June 1, 1985 under the Act of 1984. It is certified by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) in India with a rating of four stars. Goa University offers various graduate, post-graduate as well as research programmes under the respective faculties.

Goa University offers the following PG courses in various disciplines to its students every year:

  • Master of Technology (M.Tech)
  • Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
  • Master of Science (M.Sc)

Candidate can will be selected for admission to the above mentioned post graduate (PG) courses through Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET). Candidates can register themselves for the PG courses by submitting completed applications along with the processing fee amount of Rs. 400/- through demand draft (DD). In case of entrance test, additional fee of Rs. 300/- must also be submitted by the candidates

How to Apply

  • Candidates can download the concerned application form available at the official university website and fill in all the relevant fields with the necessary details
  • Along with duly filled-in applications, candidate must also submit the required application fee through demand draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” and payable at Panaji, Goa.
  • Candidates have to pay Rs.400/- to apply for any of the above mentioned PG programme. In case a candidate decides to apply for more than one PG programme, he/she has to pay additional Rs.100/- for each. In case of Entrance Test, wherever applicable, the candidates must pay an additional amount of Rs.300/-
  • Candidate must send completed applications along with all the attested copies of the documents to the following address:

  1. Two recent, identical passport size photographs
  2. UG marksheets
  3. Birth Certificate from Competent Authority.
  4. Caste certificate
  5. ‘Bonafide student’ certificate (if applicable)
  6. Leaving/Transfer certificate from school or college last attended
  7. ‘Certificate of Income’ in original issued by Panchayat
  8. Non Migrant Caste Certificate
  9. Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable)
  10. OCI /PIO Card /document issued by the Competent Authority for NRI candidates.
  11. A certified copy of the passport as proof of being an Indian Citizen

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should have passed the examination of Bachelor degree of Science from any recognized University.
  • Candidates passing B.Pharm shall also be eligible to apply for M.Sc in Chemistry

Reservation Criteria

  • 15 seats are reserved for the management quota and one seat in over & above intake shall be available to Kashmiri Migrants.
  • 2% seats are reserved for the SC category candidates and 12% seats are reserved for the ST category candidates.
  • 27% seats are reserved for the OBC category candidates

Selection of the candidates to the above mentioned PG programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in the GCET, conducted by the university.
