Goa University MA and M.Com Admissions 2020: Eliigbility, Application Process, Fees

Goa University imparts high-quality education in various professional and non-professional programs. At the undergraduate level, Goa University offers admission to M.A, M.Com and programs. Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 40% marks in the relevant subject are eligible for admission to these programs.

Selection to above-mentioned programs offered by Goa University is granted on the basis of marks obtained in the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) Test. Candidates can register for admission by filling in the online application form and submitting the required processing fee within the stipulated time. Check Goa University Admission 2019


How to Apply

  • Download the concerned application form available at the official university website.
  • Fill in all the relevant fields with the necessary details.
  • Submit the duly filled-in application along with application fee through demand draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” and payable at Panaji, Goa.
  • Pay INR 400 to apply for any of the above-mentioned PG programs.
  • For application to more than one program pay an additional amount of INR 100.
  • In the case of Entrance Test, pay an additional amount of INR 300.
  • Send completed applications along with all the attested copies of the documents to the following address:

  1. Two recent, identical passport size photographs
  2. UG Marksheets
  3. Birth Certificate from Competent Authority.
  4. Caste certificate
  5. ‘Bonafide student’ certificate (if applicable)
  6. Leaving/Transfer certificate from school or college last attended
  7. ‘Certificate of Income’ in original issued by Panchayat
  8. Non-Migrant Caste Certificate
  9. Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable)
  10. OCI /PIO Card /document issued by the Competent Authority for NRI candidates.
  11. A certified copy of the passport as proof of being an Indian Citizen

Eligibility Criteria

MAEnglishBachelor’s degree/any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum aggregate marks of 40%.

Reservation Criteria

Selection shall be made as per the rules of reservation of the Government of India/Goa for the following different categories:

  1. Backward Class – 27% of total seats
  2. Scheduled Caste - 2% of total seats
  3. Scheduled Tribe – 12% of total seats
  4. Differently Abled 3% of total seats
  5. Candidates of other Indian universities -10% of total seats
  6. Wards of Ex-serviceman – 1% of total seats

Admission Process

Admission is based on the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) Test in the relevant subject.
