Sri Devaraj University (SDUU) MBBS Admissions 2020: Courses, Merit List, Fees

Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research comprising Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College is a Deemed to be University. The medical institution has a unique distinction of accreditation by NAAC India and certification by ISO 9001-2000 and maintains a high standard in teaching learning evaluation process and the institution has become a byword for quality medical institution. The University also awards 30 scholarships for the MBBS programme every year.

SDUU invites applications for admission to the Bachelor or Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Programme for the academic year 2020-21. The admission process is through the Undergraduate Engineering Medical and Dental i.e., Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2020 examination will be conducted by ERA Foundation conducted online on May 8th, 2020 (tentative). How to apply?


Step1: You will first need to register for Uni-GAUGE EMeD at its official website with the necessary details.

Step2: Select a Unique ID Proof that you will be using throughout the application process and upload the same on the Application.

Step3: Upload the photo in JPEG format which should be should be less than 80 kb and should be of 30mm*45mm dimension and the signature in less than 80 kb with 35 x 80 mm dimensions. You should also upload your Father/Gaurdian’s signature with size less than 80 kb and 35 x 80 mm dimensions.

Step 4: Select the test city from the available list of cities.

Step 5: Pay the application Fee: Rs. 1500 either

  • online through Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card
  • offline through Bank Challan at any branch of Axis Bank

Step 6: Ensure that Online Application Form is filled properly with all complete details. Click on “SAVE” button and re- verify all the particulars in application form before clicking on SUBMIT button.

For Admission to the University:

You have to apply separately to the university along with the downloaded Uni-GAUGE test scorecard and the prescribed documents.

Take a print out of the Application form. Attach a copy of the Demand Draft for the purpose of Application fee of Rs. 1500 drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education & Research, Kolar” payable at Kolar. 

Enclosures to be attached:

  • Copy of identity proof or date of birth certificate duly attested by Gazetted officer.
  • Copy of class 10th and class 12th certificate
  • Category and Income certificate (if applicable).
  • 6 copies of identical colour photographs. You should mention the Application number on the back side of the photograph.
  • Copy of Demand Draft for the Application Fee

Eligibility Criteria

  • You should have qualified in second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognised by State/Central Government with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST and OBC) with English as a compulsory subject.
  • If you are appearing for the prescribed qualification and expecting the above percentage of marks, you are eligible to apply.
  • You should complete 17 years of age on or before December 31st, 2020 (tentative).

Selection Process

You will be selected on the basis of Undergraduate Engineering Medical and Dental i.e., Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2020 examination conducted by ERA Foundation.

The Exam will be conducted online. It consists of only one paper of 3 hours duration. The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with each subject having 60 questions, with 1 mark for every correct question and no negative marking.

You must secure not less than 50% marks in aggregate as well as in individual subjects for general category, and 40% in aggregate and 50% in individual subjects in the case of SC, ST and OBC category in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the exam.
