JNTU Anantapur MBA and MCA Admissions 2019: Course, Entrance Exam, Dates,

JNTU Anantapur invites candidates to join their various specializations offered under M.B.A. and M.C.A courses. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is the new name of 'The college of Engineering, Vishakhapatnam' which was established in 1946. JNTU Anantapur started functioning in 2008 from one of its constituent colleges. The university holds an entrance test 'APICET' to select the students for their M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses. The test has 200 questions and has English and Telugu as mediums. The aspiring candidate must have a bachelor's degree and should score above 25% in APICET.


The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE for admissions to their M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses. The test consists of 200 questions of 1 mark each. The test is 150 minutes (2½ hours) long. The test has 3 sections. The section A is for Analytical Ability (75 marks), section B is Mathematical Ability (75 marks), and section C is Communication Ability (50 marks). The medium for the exam will be English for section C, and English and Telugu for sections A and B. The test will be conducted from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at different centres. After the declaration of result, the candidates can demand the re-verification of their result by paying a fee of Rs. 1,000/-. The payment has to be made by demand draft in favor of 'The Convener, APICET – 2019' payable at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam through Nationalized Bank. Check JNTU Admission 2019

  • The candidates should be an Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh State Educational Institutions.
  • The candidates who are not Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the concerned university.
  • The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years with at least 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks.
  • The candidate should have Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level and/or 10+2 level.
  • In case the Bachelor's Degree is obtained via distance education mode, the degree should be recognized by a joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.
  • The candidates in the final year of their degree course are also eligible to apply.
  • The candidate should have scored a minimum of 25% marks in APICET.

Note: For SC/ST and other reserved categories, no minimum qualifying percentage is required.

Application Process


  • Candidates can get the application form from APICET's website.
  • The application form can be obtained and submitted online only. There are no designated centers to provide or accept application forms.
  • fter opening the online application portal, the candidates can pay the registration fee of Rs. 350/- through one of the two modes: AP online, or through debit/credit card.
  • AP Online: The candidate can visit any of the 1,732 online payment centers in Andhra Pradesh. The candidates can pay the fee in these centers and receive a 'Transaction ID'. The candidates can login using this ID and fill and submit their application form.
  • Debit/Credit Card*: In case the candidate wants to use net banking or debit/credit card, he/she can fill the form and then make the payment.
  • After filling the form and uploading the scanned copies of their passport sized photo and signature, the candidates can submit their forms.
  • The candidates are not required to upload any certificate etc.
  • Once the form is submitted, the candidate can only make any required correction by writing a letter to the Convener.

Note: While paying through debit/credit card, do not press back/refresh or close the window during the payment as it can cancel the payment.

Admission Process


  • The selection for M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses is based on the rank/marks scored by the candidate in APICET.
  • After the declaration of APICET result, the University announces counselling dates for the eligible candidates who get selected on the basis of their ranks.
  • Holding a rank alone does not guarantee admission. The candidate has to appear for counselling and must have all documents verified.
  • In case there is a tie in the ranks, it is resolved by:
    1. Comparing the marks scored in Section – A.
    2. If the scores are still tied, the marks scored in Section – B are compared.
    3. If the tie persists, the candidate who is older will be selected.
