DY Patil University Kolhapur MD and MS Admissions 2020: Eligibility, Application Process, Fees

D.Y. Patil Education Society (DYPES) is a deemed university established in 2005 and is located in Kolhapur. University is declared as ‘A’ grade with CGPA 3.09 by NAAC. It is recognized as one of the top institutions of higher learning in next decade.

DYPES offers the following post graduate (PG) programmes in various disciplines to its students every year:

  • MD (in 15 disciplines)
  • MS (in 5 disciplines)

The candidate will be shortlisted for admission to the above-mentioned courses on the basis of their performance in the AIPGMET (i.e. All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test). Interested candidates can register themselves for admission to the PG courses by submitting duly filled-in applications along with the processing fee amount of Rs. 3000/- through demand draft (DD).

  • Candidate must have passed in MBBS examination from a recognized medical college and should obtain final registration from the medical council of India.
  • Candidate must have undergone 1 year rotating internship training and obtained final registration certificate from medical council of India on or before appearing for the entrance test

Admission Process

Candidates who possess an MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from a duly recognized Medical College/Institute are eligible for admission. Selection of the candidates for admission to MD, MS and PG Diploma programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in the AIPGMET- (All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test).

AIPGMET takes place in the second week of February.
The candidates must score a minimum of 50% in AIPGMET to qualify for admission.

The candidates who clear the Entrance Exam will be called for counseling.

In case, two or more student score equal marks, the following procedure shall serve as a Tie-breaker

  • First preference will be given to the candidate who scored more marks in the MBBS examinations.
  • Candidates having higher aggregate marks in all university exams of the MBBS course shall be preferred.
  • Candidates with a higher score in the subject of his/her choice for (PG) at the university exams of MBBS course shall be preferred.

How to Apply

  • Application forms can be downloaded online or obtained in person from the university office and candidate appearing for AIPGMET entrance test will be required to submit application form along with attested copies of documents.
  • Candidates can register themselves by submitting completed applications along with the entrance test fee amount of Rs. 3000/- through DD drawn in favour of “Registrar, DY Patil education society Deemed University, Kolhapur” drawn on nationalized/schedule bank payable at Kolhapur
  • Candidates have to submit duly filled-in applications along with the attested copies of documents to the university office at the following address:
