GITAM UG Law Admission 2019: Eligibility, Application Process, Fees

GITAM offers law programs through GITAM School of Law. It offers BA-LLB, BBA-LLB and LLB courses at UG level.

Both BA-LLB and BBA LLB are of 5 years duration. Candidate needs to be 10+2 passed out with at least 45% marks. For LLB, candidate must be a graduate (except BFA and distance mode degree).

Candidate needs to clear LSAT or CLAT for the admission in GITAM School of Law. 

Candidates can download the application form from GITAM website. Filled application forms have to be sent along with the certificates and Demand Draft drwan in favour of Director, School of Law, GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam. 

Application forms will be available from April 26, 2019. Application fee is INR 700/- (INR 500/- for girls).

Eligibility

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.} & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.}

  • Upper age limit should not be more than 20 years of age (22 years in case of SC/ST/PwD).  
  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 with 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST/PwD).
  • Candidate should have qualified LSAT / CLAT in order to get admission in GITAM.
  • Students who are awaiting their final year result can also apply for the programme.

Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.]

  • Candidate must not be more than than 22 years of age ( 24 years in case of SC / ST and persons with disability.
  • Candidate should have passed any graduation (except BFA/Graduate from distance mode)/any equivalent examination with minimum 45% aggregate of marks (40% in case of SC/ST and persons with disability). Students who are awaiting their result can also apply for the programme.


How To Apply

Applications to GSL is registered through downloading the form and sending it along with necessary documents.

For Regsitration candidate must follow the given steps:

  1. Go to GITAM School of Law website (https://vspgsl.gitam.edu/)
  2. Click on “Apply Now”.
  3. Download and take the printout of  the application form.
  4. Fill the application form with the necessary information.
  5. Enclose the application form with the important documents.
  6. Pay the application fee via demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director, School of Law, GITAM” and payable at Visakhapatnam.
  7. Candidate should send the duly filled-in applications, along with all the attested documents and DD, to the following address:

  2. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet (for integrated programs)
  3. Graduation certificate( for LLB programme)

  6. Nativity Certificate if required   
  7.  Date of Birth Certificate (SSC / ICSE / CBSE).
  8. Medical certificate
  9. Rank Card of CLAT / LSAT India(for integrated programs)

Important Note:

  • Application fee for boys: Rs. 700/-
  • Application fee for girls: Rs. 500/-


Admission Process

Candidates will be selected for the integrated law programmes on the basis of their merit in CLAT/SLAT, followed by the counselling.

Admission to LL.B. programme will be done directly through counselling process based on the qualifying degree merit.
