GITAM University B.Tech and B.Arch Admissions 2018

Established in 1980, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is a private University which was titled as a deemed University in 2007. The university offers 109 programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral level in various disciplines such as Technology, Pharmacy, Science, Management, International Business, Architecture and Law.

The universityoffers following courses at under graduate (UG) level in various disciplines:

  • B.Tech. (10 disciplines)
  • B.Pharm.
  • B.Arch.

Candidates can get admission to the above mentioned courses through the university entrance test known as GAT (UGTP)GAT is abbreviated as “GITAM admission test”.

Candidates can register themselves for admission to the above mentioned courses by submitting duly filled-in applications, along with the processing fee of Rs. 1000/- (for male candidates) and Rs. 600/- (for female candidates) through demand draft (DD).

Eligibility

Candidate must have passed intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Board or its equivalent subjects with minimum 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)

Candidate must have passed intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Board or its equivalent subjects with minimum 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

Bachelor of Pharmacy [B.Pharm]

Candidate must have passed intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Board or its equivalent subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects

  • Candidate must have passed higher secondary or equivalent 10+2 level in any group from a recognized Central/State Board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and Mathematics as a subject of the examination
  • Candidate should have passed National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi.
  • Candidate must have passed JEE (Main) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the year of admission.


How To Apply

BE/B.Tech & B.Pharm

  • Candidates can download the application form available at the official GITAM website. Application forms can also be obtained from any branch of Union Bank of India throughout the country
  • Candidates can also obtain application form by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request letter containing the candidate’s name, along with the complete mailing address and DD of INR 150. DD should be drawn in favour of ‘GITAM University’ and payable at Visakhapatnam
  • Candidates can register themselves by submitting the completed applications, along with the processing fee amount of Rs. 1000/- (for male candidates) and Rs. 600/- (for female candidates) through DD.
  • Candidate should send the duly filled-in applications, along with all the attested documents and DD, to the following address:

  1. Date of Birth extract of SSC / ICSE/CBSE / Matriculation certificate
  2. 10 +2 certificate in the case of candidates appearing for UG programmes
  3. Caste Certificate issued by appropriate authority for claiming reservation under SC/ST
  4. Medical Certificate issued by appropriate authority for claiming under PH category

Enclosures for B.Pharm:

  1. X class or its equivalent pass certificate
  2. 10+2 / Intermediate marks statement & pass Certificate.
  3. Transfer, Study and Conduct Certificates.
  4. Integrated Community Certificate in case of SC/ST.
  5. Medical Certificate from not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon in case of PH Candidates
  6. Two sets of photo copies of the certificates stated above.
  7. Four passport size  recent colour photographs

Enclosures for B.Arch:

  1. Date of Birth extract of SSC / ICSE / CBSE / Matriculation certificate

  4. Migration Certificate and Transfer Certificate
  5. Caste Certificate issued by appropriate authority for claiming reservation under SC/ST

Admission Process

BE/B.Tech & B.Pharm

  • Selection of the candidates to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of their performance in GAT (UGTP), admission test conducted by university
  • Candidates must submit counselling fee of Rs. 800 for admission to B.Arch and B.Pharm courses


Notes

Scholarship

100% fee scholarship will be given to top 10 rankers of GAT and 50% for 11-100 rankers in GAT

Hostel

University provides hostel facility to 2300 boys’ candidates and 2000 girl’s candidates.
