Applications are invited by Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai for admission to full-time (regular) Post-Graduate Degree Programs (MA, MSc, MPH, MHA) offered at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses and other locations for the academic session 2019.
TISS-NET is a yearly exam conducted for admissions to Masters in Social Work and related programs at TISS Mumbai and its campuses in Tuljiapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati and other locations.
Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses have independent high quality faculty engaged in teaching, research, policy and outreach activities. The Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses are networked with Mumbai campus to access library, online books and journals and classes. All campuses have unified campus placement policy and placement process.
TISS offers 57 Master's Degree programmes from its Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses for the 2019 batch. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programmes across any of the two campuses indicating the order of preference. The merit list will be prepared based on the preferences given by the candidate in the application form. Check TISS Admission 2019
National Entrance Test will take place at 39 different cities/towns across the country. Pre Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) for programmes offered at Mumbai, Tuljapur, MHAT, Calicut, BANYAN, Chennai will be conducted at the Mumbai Campus . For programmes offered at Hyderabad and Guwahati, the PIT/PI will be conducted at the respective campuses. Candidates applying for programmes at more than one campus, will have to travel to these places for PIT/PI. Except for the eligible candidates from the SC/ST categories all others will bear the cost of travel, lodging and boarding for attending the NET, as well as PIT/PI.

NOTE: For MA in Applied Psychology with Specialisations in Counselling Psychology and Clinical Psychology, preference will be given to those candidates who have a graduate degree/BA in Psychology; BA/B.Sc. Home Science with specialisation in Child/Human Development; BA Social Work, BA General-with minimum three papers in Psychology
Till the time the candidates submit results of the final year degree examination, admission to any of the Master's Degree Programmes of the Institute will be provisional. The results of the final examination have to be submitted. Those who fail to do so the provisional admission stands cancelled.

STEP 2: Fill in the boxes with the required details to be taken to ‘application home page.’ Fill in your basic details, academic details and have to mention the programmes they wish to apply for in the order of preference.
STEP 3: Choose to pay the fee online (credit/debit card or net banking) OR offline (SBI challan).
STEP 4: Scan and upload photograph, signature, mark sheet of last exam passed and other necessary certificates.
Payment of application fees
Application fee: General candidates – Rs.1030/-
SC/ST candidates (parental income less than 2.75 lakhs) and OBC candidates (parental income less than 1 lakh) – Rs.250/-
You can choose between two modes of payment namely Cash and Payment gateway.

Payment gateway pertains to payment made through credit/debit card or online transactions.
Cash (Offline payment)
NOTE: If you are eligible for the concessional fee of Rs.250/- then you would have to upload the caste and income certificate.

The selection of candidates for different programmes happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. All candidates appear for the National entrance test (TISSNET). Based on the performance in the TISSNET examination, only short listed candidates are called for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview.(PIT/PI)

TISS NET 2019 WILL NOT HAVE NEGATIVE MARKING FOR ANY PROGRAMME.
Merit List preparation:
Based on the merit list for each programme, the list of selected candidates will be put up on the website. Each candidate will also receive his/her score card indicating the marks for each component of the examination process.
TISS-NET Exam Pattern
The objective test will have questions related to General Knowledge; Analytical Ability, Logical Reasoning; and English Proficiency.
TISS - NET 2019 will not have negative marking for any programme including HRM. Candidates who have applied for a single programme or multiple programmes will be attempting a single question paper with 100 questions for a duration of 100 minutes, this includes candidates who have chosen HRM in combination with other programme/ programmes.
This year General Awareness will consist of 40 marks, English Proficiency 30 marks, Maths and Logical Reasoning - 30 marks.
Reservation of seats is as per Govt. of India requirements.
The TISS Guwahati Campus has been established with support from the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDONER), Govt. of India
The campus is expected to benefit students from the eight States in the region. 66% of the seats will be proportionately distributed amongst the eight North-eastern States (seats allocated to each of the states will follow the reservation norms of that State); and 34% of the seats for students from rest of India (Government of India reservation norms applied to these seats).
