GITAM University M.Tech and M.Pharm Admissions 2019: Eligibility, Application Process, Fees

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) offers 109 programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral level in various disciplines such as Technology, Pharmacy, Science, Management, International Business, Architecture, and Law.  At PG level the University offers M.Tech and M.Pharm. The duration of the M.Tech and M.Pharma courses is 2 years and has an intake of 240 seats.

Candidate can get admission in GITAM through admission test GAT-PGT(M.Tech) and GAT-PGP(M.Pharm). The basic eligibility required for admission to M.Tech is 50% marks in GAT entrance exam and 60% in 10+2. For admission to M.Pharma, the applicant should hold a B.Pharma degree with at least 50% marks.

Registration for admission is done by submitting a duly filled-in application along with the fee of INR 1000/-(Male) and INR 600/-(Female). Read More: GITAM Admission 2019

Eligibility

  • B.E./B.Tech./AMIE degree in any branch of Engineering or its equivalent from any recognized university
  • Candidate must have passed qualifying examination from a recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Software Engineering)

  • B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in CSE / IT / ECE / EEE / EI / CSIT or its equivalent from this university or any recognized university.
  • Passed in qualifying examination from recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Information Technology)

  • B.E./B.Tech./AMIE degree in any branch of Engineering or its equivalent from this university or any recognized university.
  • Passed in the qualifying examination from a recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (VLSI Design)

  • B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in ECE / EEE / EIE / Instrumentation / CSE / IT or its equivalent from this university or any recognized university.
  • Passed in qualifying examination from recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering)

  • B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in ECE / EEE / EIE / Instrumentation or its equivalent from this university or any recognized university.
  • Passed in qualifying examination from recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Power System & Automation)

  • EEE or its equivalent from any recognized university.
  • passed qualifying examination from a recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (CAD/ CAM)

  • B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in Mechanical/Production /Automobile /Marine /Aerospace or its equivalent from this university or any recognized university.
  • Passed qualifying examination from a recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Industrial Engineering & Management)

  • Any degree or its equivalent degree from this university or any recognized university.
  • Passed qualifying examination from recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Biotechnology)

  • B.Tech degree in Biotechnology or B.Pharm or equivalent or B.Tech. Chemical Engineering or M.Sc.in Chemistry /Microbiology / Bioinformatics / Biotechnology with basic mathematics from this university or any recognized university.
  • Passed qualifying examination from recognized university with at least 50% marks or equivalent score obtained in GAT (PGT).

M.Pharm

Candidate must possess B.Pharm degree from this university or any other recognized university with minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and Score obtained in GAT (PGP).


How To Apply

ME/M.Tech & M.Pharm

Applicant can submit the form through both online as well as offline mode.  Following are the steps to apply online:

  1. Open the official website ( www.gitam.edu). 
  2. Click the link “GITAM GAT 2020” application form.
  3. Select the course and choose online mode.
  4. Upload the scanned copy of the 10+2 mark sheet, signature, and photograph.
  5. Pay the fees of INR 1000/- (MALE) and INR 600/- (FEMALE) through debit/credit card.

Offline mode:

  1. Send a written letter to the admission office to get the application form.
  2. With the written letter send A DD of INR 150 to obtain the application form at home or from any bank branch registered on the official website.
  3. Fill the application form correctly with all the relevant details, enclose a recent passport size photograph.
  4. Send a DD of INR1000  in favour of “Gitam University, Visakhapatnam” along with the application form to the address of correspondence.
  5. Application fees for male candidates is INR 1000 and for female candidates, application fees is INR 600.

Admission Process

ME/M.Tech & M.Pharm

 The admission process will take place through online examination GAT. M.Tech. program admission is done on the basis of GAT (PGT) and M.Pharma admissions are granted on the basis of valid score in GAT (PGP).

  1. The duration GAT is 2hrs.
  2. The test consists of three sections

  1. Questions are of objective type.
  2. 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.


Notes

Scholarship

100% fee scholarship will be given to top 10 rankers of GAT and 50% for 11-100 rankers in GAT.

Hostel

University provide hostel facility to 2300 boys’ candidates and 2000 girl’s candidates.
