VFSTR B.Tech. Admissions 2019: Courses, Results, Fees

Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research University (VFSTR) is a private university, established in 2008. The university is well known for its dedicated faculty, state-of art infrastructure and excellent Placement Record.

VFSTR offers various under graduate (UG), post-graduate and research programmes to its students every year. As per the engineering stream, the university offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in the following 15 disciplines:

Admission to the B.Tech. programme will be done on the basis of ranks obtained in the Vignan Scholastic Aptitude Test (V-SAT), an online test conducted by the university. Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned course by submitting completed applications, along with the application fee of Rs. 1000/- through demand draft (DD).

Admission Eligibility


Candidate must pass intermediate or equivalent examination with minimum of 60% of marks.

Foreign / NRI candidates’ eligibility

  • Candidate must pass qualifying examination with minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates whose degree certificate/school passing certificate / diploma obtained from their respective country / Universities or Boards of Higher Education, recognized as equivalent to those in India, by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible for admission
  • Candidate must obtain valid student visa

Age limit eligibility

Candidate must be born on or after 1st July 1995.

How To Apply


Candidates can register themselves by using any of the following three modes of registration which are as:

  • Direct
  • Indian bank branches
  • Downlaod

For Indian students


Candidates can obtain application form by post from the University Office on payment of Rs. 1000/- through DD drawn in favour of “Vignan University, payable at Guntur or in person from any of Vignan Schools or Vignan offices at Vijayawada”.

Indian bank branches

Candidates can obtain application form from Indian Bank branches throughout the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana


Candidates can download application form from the university wesbite “” along with the DD of amount Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Vignan University, payable at Guntur

For foreign/ NRI students

Candidate can obtain the application form by downlaod it from the university website and must attach the Xerox copy of statement of marks of last qualifying examination which is duly attested by: Indian Embassy in foreign country, or High Commissioner of students' country in India or Ministry of Education in foreign country

Enclosures for Foreign/NRI candidates

  3. Admission fee and one year tuition fee deposit receipt as proof of admission.
  4. 6 passport size colour photographs
  5. Original work experience certificate (if applicable)
  6. Parents’ acceptance letter along with ID/original Residential Address Proof
  7. Original and Photocopy of Passport, National ID, OCI/PIO card (whichever is applicable)
  8. Photocopy of Indian Visa stamped in the name of VFSTRU (not applicable for Bhutan and Nepal students)
  9. Residential Permit obtained from Local FRO Office (not applicable for Bhutan and Nepal students) or No objection or recommendation letter from the respective Embassy.
  10. Sponsorship letter from Student Organization or Ministry of Education of concerned country (if applicable)
  11. Medical certificate for health and fitness from any registered medical practitioner (No HIV/AIDS Certificate)

Enclosures for visiting students

  1. Application form (as available on university website)
  2. Copy of the grade transcripts with the explanation of the assigned grades.
  3. A statement of purpose from the student
  4. Bio Data / Curriculum Vitae / Resume.
  5. A duly signed undertaking from the student on plain paper wherein they certify that they will bear all the charges including the tuition fees, fees for accommodation and food and all other incidental charges during the course of their stay at VFSTRU.
  6. Personal particulars of foreign students / scholars
  7. A bonafide certificate from the Home University in proof of their studentship of the University and a no objection certificate to study at VFSTRU
  8. Recommendation letters from the faculty

Documentary proof to vouch for fluency in English language

Admission Process


  • Selection of the candidate will be based on the rank in the merit list of V-SAT test results conducted by the university.
  • If the candidates score minimum 60% of aggregate marks in qualifying examination in V-SAT /EAMCET/JEE Main, the admission will be purely on merit basis.
  • Candidates will be called for counselling as per the rank obtained in the merit list of V-SAT test by the university.

Admission Reservation

10 seats are reserved under sports quota.

5% of the total seats are reserved for the foreign students or the children of Indians working in the Gulf or South East Asia and other foreign nations
