North Orissa University is a public university which was established in 13 July 1998. The university is certified by NAAC with B grade. North Orissa University provides higher education through the on campus as well as distance education mode. Application Process

  • Candidates can download the application form and Information Brochure from the University website.
  • Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned M.Phil courses by submitting the application fee of amount Rs. 500/- and in Ph.D course by submitting the application fee of Rs. 1000/-.
  • Candidates must have to pay the fee through Bank Draft in favour of the Comptroller of Finance, North Orissa University, payable at Baripada.
  • Candidate must have to send the filled in application form along with an account payee Bank Draft and enclosures at the office of the Chairman, P.G. Council.

Enclosures:

  1. Account Payee Bank draft
  2. Copies of Certificates and Mark sheets (From HSC onwards)
  3. Copy of Caste Certificate/Certificate in claim of the reservation.
  4. Affix photographs where required

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must possess master’s degree with good academic career from this university or any other recognized university must secure at least 55% of marks and (50% marks for SC/ST candidates).
  • Candidate must have to qualify entrance test followed by an interview.

Admission Reservation

  • Seats will be reserved for SC/ST candidates as per the government of Odisha norms.
  • 3% seats will be reserved for differently able candidates.
  • 1 seat will be reserved for the candidates of the children of ex-serviceman of Indian Armed forces.
  • 5% of the total seats will be reserved for the candidates from outside the state.

Admission Process

Selection of the candidates to the above mentioned all the course is done on the basis of merit in the entrance test, career and interview conducted by the university.
