Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), formerly known as Bengal Engineering and Science University, was established in 1856 and has since provided higher education in Engineering, Science, and Technology. The Institute has gained the status of Institute of National Importance in 2014.
At UG Level, IIEST offers B.Tech and B.Arch courses. B.Tech is offered in 9 Engineering departments. The admission to B.Tech is done through JEE Main paper 1 exam and for B.Arch, JEE Main paper 2 scores are considered.
Admission seekers must have secured at least 75% in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There is 10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
Application form for the JEE Main will be available in month of September and February for Phase 1 and Phase 2. Registrations can be done online on National Testing Agency (NTA) official Website.

Eligibility for the admission will be same as of JEE Main. Below are the listed criteria:
Age Limit: One should be born on or after October 1994. There is relaxation of 5 years in age for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
The selection for a integrated B.Tech. or B.Arch. program offered by IIEST is done through JoSAA Counseling. The choices are generally made in July after which seat allotments are done based on student’s AIR (All India Rank) as well as choices.
The rank lists for JEE Mains is prepared by taking 60% of JEE Main score and 40% of Higher Secondary Examination marks into account.

Step 3 Seat Allotment and document verification.
Allotments are made finally on the basis of AIR, choices made and vacancies. After being allotted with a seat, a student needs to pay fees and should make sure to get all the documents verified for getting admission.
