Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNAFAU) B.Arch Admissions 2018

Established in 1940, Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) has two schools which offer undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) as well as Ph.D. research programmes. 

The university offers B.Arch. programme in the following 2 disciplines to its students every year:

  • General – (5 years)
  • SSS – (5 years)

Candidates can get admission to the B.Arch. programme through NATA, national level entrance examination. NATA is abbreviated as “National Aptitude Test in Architecture”.

Candidates can register themselves to the B.Arch. programme by submitting completed applications along with the registration fee of Rs. 1250/- through online payment modes.

Eligibility

B.Arch

Candidate must have passed in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) examination with maths as a subject, from a recognized board of education.


How To Apply

B.Arch

  • Candiates can register themselves for B.Arch. programme by applying online through the official examination “https://www.nata.in/”
  • Along with the application form, candidates must submit the registration fee of Rs. Rs. 1250/- by using Netbanking / Credit Cards / ICICI Insure Bank Challan.
  • Candidate must fill all the relevant details in the application form and upload the scanned copy of its photograph, signature and necessary enclosures to complete the registration process  
  • Upon completion of the registration process, candidate should download the duly filled-in application form for future references

For International candidates

Candidate can obtain the application form by sending a DD of US $50 in favour of “The Director, IRC, JNAFAU, Hyderabad” and payable at Hyderabad

Subsequently, the university will issue a ‘Letter of Provisional Eligibility and Admission’ for the purpose of obtaining , a 'Student Visa' or 'Research Visa' from Indian Consulate/Embassy

After obtaining the 'Student Visa', the candidate must send a written confirmation of the acceptance of the course to the following address:

  • Candidate must produce the original certificates upon payment of necessary course fee and obtain the "Firm Admission Allotment Letter" to join the program
  • Candidates should contact the coordinator and send the filled application form along with all the enclosures to the following address:

  1.  

Enclosures:

  1. Two attested copies of the marks sheet of the qualifying examination (In English)
  2. Two attested copies of the Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination (In English)
  3. A copy of the syllabus/curriculum of their UG/PG Degree (In English)
  4. Two copies of the passport of the student

Attestation of all the above mentioned documents shall be done by one of the following:

  1. Indian Embassy at the student's country or 
  2. Student's country Mission in India or
  3. Ministry of Education in student's country


Admission Process

B.Arch

Selection of the candidates to the B.Arch. course is done on the basis of marks scored in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by the university.


Reservation

15% seats are reserved for the International candidates.

Hi Muskaan, Selection of the candidates to the B.Arch. course is done on the basis of marks scored in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by the university. Merit list prepared by the university.

Hi Sahithi, you can get admission to the B.Arch. programme through NATA, national level entrance examination.
