Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) is a public state university, situated in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2008, the university offers 17 post graduate programmes, 2 integrated courses namely M.Sc., M.B.A. and 2 research courses viz. M.Phil. and Ph.D.

Post graduate courses:
Candidates can get admission to the above mentioned post graduate courses through VSUPGCET entrance examination and integrated courses through qualifying examination. Entrance examination for admission to post-graduate courses is conducted by the university and is known as VSUPGCET, abbreviated as Vikrama Simhapuri UniversityPost-Graduate Common Entrance Test. Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting completed applications, along with the necessary enclosures and application fee of Rs. 400/- (for open categories) and Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST category candidates).

Candidate can apply for the PG courses through the online registration process available at the university website “www.vsupgcet.in”
Upon submitting their personal details through the registration link provided on the official website, a verification code will be sent to the applicant’s mobile number
Upon successful verification, candidate should proceed to enter the details related to Academic, Study, Reservation and other important information. After filling-in all the details, a payment ref ID would be generated
Registration fee of INR 400 (for general candidates) and INR 200 (for SC/ST category candidates) can be paid through the available online payment modes (Net banking/ credit card/ debit card). Fee can also be submitted offline through the SBI generated challan. Bank Charges will be applicable as per the payment option selected by the applicant
If the candidate wishes to pay application fee through SBI challan, he /she should take the printout of the generated E-challan and pay the required amount of money at any SBI branch across India
Upon successful payment of fees, candidate must wait for one working day and then take a printout of the completed applications using his/ her candidate login by entering your Application No. and Date of Birth
Candidate must submit completed applications, along with all the Xerox copies of certificates, either in person or by Registered post or by speed post to the following address:

Transfer and Conduct certificates
SSC and Intermediate pass certificates
Two Passport size photographs
Study certificates from IX class to qualifying examination
Caste certificate in original from the Tahshildar in case of SC/ST/BC candidates OR permanent caste certificate
Income certificate from the Tahshildar
Fee concession if eligible, will not be given if income certificate is not submitted.
Relevant certificate in case of Physically Challenged / Extra Curricular Activities (NCC/NSS/Games & Sports / Cultural Activity) category.
Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of a child of armed person.
Residence Certificate of parents for stay in the state of A.P. from Tahshildar in case of candidates, who have studied outside A.P. / carried out private study.
Migration certificate (for other University candidates)
The VSUPGCET Office issues the Scratch Card / OTP to each eligible candidate which should be preserved by the candidate until the admission procedure is completed.
Candidate must possess B.A. degree with economics from this university or any other recognized university with at least 40% marks in the concerned subject. For SC/ST candidates, pass in graduation is sufficient
Candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are eligible to apply
85% seats in each course are filled with local candidates of SVU region, while 15% are filled with local or non-local candidates on merit.
33.33% seats are reserved for women candidates in each category but if there is no suitable women candidate, then seats will be filled with men candidates
If SC/ST category candidates are not available, then left over seats will be filled by open category candidates

Selection of the candidate to the above mentioned PG courses is done on the basis of VSUPGCET entrance examination, conducted by the university
