St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Researchis a UGC approved university providing courses in every field of study including Science, Arts, Commerce of both undergraduate and post graduate level.

St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Research provides 45 distance education programmes pertaining to both under graduation and post-graduation. The admissions in these courses is based on the qualifying examination following which the candidate will be called for the counselling if selected by the admission authorities of the university.

How To Apply

  1. Candidates should register themselves by filling the application forms with all the relevant details as asked by the university, also the course for which the candidate is applying should be chosen. One can get the application form from the office of The Registrar and the Student Support centres. Students can also download the form from the official website of the university,
  2. After filling all the details in the form, the candidate should attach copies of all the relevant documents asked by the university with the form to be send to the university.
  3. One also has to make the desired payment for the registration process through demand draft only, which is INR 200 for programmes – BA/BSc/B Com/BBA/BCA and INR 500 for B. Tech./BLIS/PG Programmes.
  4. But if the application is downloaded from the website, registration fees for all the programmes is INR 500.
  5. Candidates also have to send the demand draft for the first year tuition fee along with it in the name of St. peter’s University, Chennai, payable at Chennai.

Candidates can send the duly filled application form along with the copies of documents and Demand Draft(s) by post to The Director St.Peter’s Institute of Distance Education, St. Peter’s University Avadi, Chennai – 600 0054,  Tamil Nadu.


  • The programmes pertaining to Projects and Practicals will be held at Head Quarters.
  • The examination will be held at selected centres of Tamil Nadu.

Admission Process

After the candidate is done with the registration, university will make a list of the selected candidates and they will be called for the counselling process in the university campus itself to allot the course as according to the university.
