Established in 1981, Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) is a public university located in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh. The university includes a University Science Instrumentation Centre, a Computer Centre, a Health Centre, a gymnasium, an outdoor stadium, an auditorium and space to accommodate departments of studies, laboratories, hostels, and housing for the staff.
Candidate can get admission to the M.Phil./Ph.D. courses through SKURESCETentrance examination.SKURESCETis abbreviated as “Sri Krishnadevaraya University Research Common Entrance Test” which is conducted by University.
Candiates can register themselves for admission to M.Phil./Ph.D. programme by submitting the online application through the university website “www.skudoa.in”.
Candidates have to submit separate application for each course for M.Phil and Ph.D course.

After payment verification, candidate can proceed for online application form filling with all the required details

Eligibility for full time Ph.D & M.Phil course:
Candidates passed in second class securing minimum of 55% of marks in the masters’ degree examination of this university or any other recognized university. 5% relaxation is given to the SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates
Candidate who possess M.Phil degree of this university or any other recognized university are eligible for admission in Ph.D programme without entrance test.
Candidates who possess M.E., M.Tech., M.D. (Medical), M.Pharm degree are eligible to apply for direct admission to Ph.D programme without an entrance test
Teachers working in Government Degree Colleges and Private Aided Degree Colleges are also eligible to apply for the programme.
Eligibility for part-time Ph.D. course:
Candidates who have scored 55% of marks with a minimum experience of three years in a Degree College / Engineering College and four years in a Junior College are eligible for admission to Ph.D. Courses.
Candidates who have scored 55% of marks in post graduate degree are also eligible to apply
Teacher candidates of part-time M.Phil. degree of this university or any other recognized university with post graduate degree are also eligible to apply for part time Ph.D programme.
Executives with II class Postgraduate degree working in the Central & State Government Organizations / Joint Stock Companies with at least four years of service are eligible for admission to the Ph.D programme (part time).
Executives with II class Postgraduate degrees including I.C.W.A., C.A., A.C.S. with four years executive experience in Joint Stock Companies, government and quasi-government organizations, and private companies working in a Grade equivalent to that of a Junior Lecturer are eligible for admission to the Ph.D programme (part time).
Research Associates / Research Assistants / Scientific Officers / Field Investigators working in nationally / internationally recognized research / medical / engineering institutions with a minimum of four years of experience are eligible for admission to the Ph.D programme (part time).
Central Civil Sevice Officers (Class-1) / Group-1 officers of A.P. Government with two years experience are eligible for admission to Ph.D part-time programme without waiting for notification / circular by the Director, DOA.
Executive Officers sponsored by the industry (whose turnover is at least Rs. 2.00 crore per year) are eligible for admission to Ph.D. Part time programme without waiting for notification / circular by the Director, DOA.
Member of Parliament (M.P.), Member of Legislative Assemble (M.L.A.) and Member of Legislative Council (M.L.C.) are eligible for admission into Ph.D. part-time Programme without waiting for notification/circular by the Director, DOA.
85% seats in each course are filled with local candidates of SVU region, while 15% are filled with local or non-local candidates on merit.
33.33% seats are reserved for women candidates in each category but if there is no suitable women candidate in a category then seats will be filled with men candidates
If SC/ST category candidates are not available then left over seats will be filled by open category candidates

Selection of the candidate to Ph.D. /M.Phil. courses is done on the basis of rank in the merit list of SKURESCET entrance examination, conducted by the university.
Candidates of the following categories are exempted from taking M.Phil./Ph.D. Entrance test:
Teachers, Technical Assistants and non-teaching staff in a cadre not less than that
of Junior Assistants of S.K. University College
Candidate who possess M.Phil. Degree on full-time basis
Candidates with UGC/CSIR-JRF, NET, APSET and GATE qualified candidates, awardees of INSPIRE fellowships and teachers who are awarded Fellowships under FIP, Project Fellows / Assistants and candidates possessing M.E., M.Tech., M.D (Medical) and M.Pharm Degrees
