Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati, established in the year 1993, under the aegis of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, as a modern super specialty hospital, and was granted the status of a university in the year 1995 by an act of A.P. State legislature. The major objectives of SVIMS includes service, training and education in advanced medical sciences and technology. Latest technology in diagnostic wing and total computer automation of patient care has been implemented in this institution for the first time in our Country.
SVIMS has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) since 2003 for conducting various DM, MCh and MD courses. For all courses:
You should have passed intermediate examination(10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with optional subjects of botany, zoology, physics & chemistry and secured not less than 50% marks in the optional subjects in case of general category and 40% marks in case of reserved category.
If you have passed intermediate vocational bridge course with Biology & Physical Sciences, you are also eligible.
The statutory reservations will be applicable to the candidates of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward classes belonging to the State of Andhra Pradesh only.
33.33% of seats are guaranteed for women candidates in each category i.e. open competition, SC, ST, BC and other reservations.
You will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
