Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (Sri Padmavati University) is a women’s University situated in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. It is a state wide University admitting students from all the Regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (i.e., Rayalaseema, Andhra regions of A.P and state of Telangana) in the ratio of 22:42:36 respectively. The Admissions in the University are limited to women candidates only. The University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in different specialisations. The University has an excellent record in placements, as many of its students have got selected through Campus Interviews in various reputed firms like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, TECH Mahindra and Mahindra Satyam.

School of Engineering and Technology, SPMVV invites applications for admission to the Master of Technology (B.Tech.) Programme in various specializations for the academic year.  The seats available for each specialization is 24 seats. The entire Application process is online. It will done on the basis of AP PGECET examination conducted by the university.

The University offers M.Tech. Programme in the following specializations:

  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Digital Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Power Electronics
  • Machine Design

Eligibility Criteria:

You must have passed the following B.E./B.Tech./AMIE Examinations in the respective disciplines with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved category):

For Computer Science and Engineering: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology or Equivalent.

For Digital Electronics and Communication Engineering: B.E/B.Tech/AMIE /AMIETE in Electronics and Communication Engineering (or) Equivalent.

For Power Electronics: B.E/B.Tech/AMIE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (or) Equivalent.

For Machine Design: B.E/B.Tech/AMIE in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering (or) Equivalent.

Nationality: You must be an Indian National.

How To Apply


The Application has to be submitted through online mode only.

You should visit the website of AP PGECET to fill in the Application Form.

You must enter your Mobile number, Date of Birth, SSC (10th Class) Hall Ticket Number and Month and Year of Passing SSC (10th Class) to log in.

You should then fill the Application with the required personal and educational details.

Application Fee: You should pay Rs. 600 in case of general category and Rs. 300 in case of SC/ST category through AP ONLINE or Debit / Credit Card. If you are applying for more than one test, you should pay separate registration fee for each test.

You should then verify all the details filled in the form and click on the “Submit” button.

Your registration process is now complete.

After submission, you will receive an SMS to your registered mobiles and also the copy of the AP PGECET Application Form to your Email ID.

You must print your Application Form after submitting it and note your AP PGECET Registration No. for future references.

Admission Process


You will be selected on the basis of AP PGECET (Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test)

The test is of two hour duration with 120 multiple choice objective type questions. Every correct answer is awarded with one mark. The Question Papers will be in English only. The test for each stream of the M.Tech. Programme will be different based on the syllabus of the respective stream of the BE/B.Tech. Examination. The detailed syllabus is given on the website. You should be able to secure a minimum of 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking to qualify the AP PGECET. However, you will not require any minimum qualifying marks if you belong to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category.


Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favour of the local areas: Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Reservation for SC/ST/BC/PHC and other categories shall be followed as per the rules prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
