Sri Padmavati Mahila University (SPMVV) MBA and MCA Admissions 2019: Courses, Eligibility, Result

Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam(Sri Padmavati University) is a women’s University situated in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. It is a state wide University admitting students from all the Regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (i.e., Rayalaseema, Andhra regions of A.P and state of Telangana) in the ratio of 22:42:36 respectively. The University invites applications for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme and Master of Computer Application (MCA) Programme for the academic year. The admission to both the courses will take place through the APICET Examination. The entire application process is online.

Eligibility Criteria:

For both MBA and MCA Programmes:

You should have passed a recognized Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks in case of SC, ST reserved category in the qualifying examination with Mathematics or one of the subject at 10+2 level.

If you have obtained the qualifying Degree by Distance Mode Program, it should have recognition by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.

Nationality: You should be an Indian national only.

How To Apply


For both MBA and MCA Programmes:

You should fill the Application form online on the APICET website. You should then click on the “Apply Online” tab.

You will be required to register using your email id & password. Then you will have to fill in personal, qualification, contact details in the form.

You should also upload your scanned passport sized colour photograph and signature in the form.

You should then review the application form carefully and submit the same by clicking on the “Submit” tab.

Next, the “Registration Fee Payment Procedure” Web Page will appear on the screen. You should now make the payment of application fee using available payment modes.

Application Fee: You must make the fee payment of Rs.350 by selecting the appropriate Registration Fee payment mode from among AP Online, e-Seva, MeeSeva or Debit / Credit card.

With the payment of application fee, the registration will conclude. You must take a printout of filled-in AP ICET Application Form and keep it safe for future use.

Admission Process


For both MBA and MCA Programmes:-

You will be selected on the basis of Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET)

This is an objective type test and the questions are of multiple choice type carrying a maximum of 200 marks. The test consists of 200 questions of with one mark awarded for every correct answer. It is for a duration of 2 and a half hours. It consists of three sections. Section A comprises of Analytical Ability and Section B consists of Mathematical Ability with 75 questions each. Section-C is on Communication Ability carrying 50 questions.

The exam is designed so as to measure your ability to think systematically, to use the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess your aptitude for admission into MBA/MCA programme.

You should be able to secure a minimum of 25% marks (i.e. 50 marks out of total 200 marks) for general category. However, you will not be required to secure any minimum qualifying percentage if you belong to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes category.


Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favour of the local areas: Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Reservation for SC/ST/BC/PHC and other categories shall be followed as per the rules prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
